We enjoyed great food, interesting tours, and the movie The Long, Long Trailer. Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz were newbies to hauling and living in a very long Trailer. Their (mis) adventures hit very close to home. We were not sure if we should laugh or cry! (We did lots of each). Our unit will have a very large turnout at the Region 3 Rally in Doswell, VA. In fact, we will be one of the largest groups attending. Nancy and I look forward to spending time with everyone there. Also, information on the International Rally in late June/early July at Lewisburg, WV is starting to become available. Many of us (including Nancy and me) will be newbies at International. If you are a newbie as well, have a look at the agenda and activities ahead of time. We have many members who have gone to International before and I am sure they will have suggestions or answers to questions any of us may have. The Piedmont NC Unit continues to gain new members - welcome! - join us on a rally so we can meet you in person. Thanks to Richard Paschall for all his efforts as Membership Chair. Travel Safe! John Becker, Unit President

MEMBERSHIP REPORT FOR APRIL 2016 Our first rally of the year was fantastic! Somewhere in this newsletter should be an excellent article describing what we did, but I was so pleased to meet Rick and Marsha Morgan, new members. Also, we enjoyed admiring Paula Beaty's new, shiny, black Ford! Jamie and Susan King came on "horseback" Saturday for lunch and to visit for a couple of hours until heading back to Oriental. Greg Ray also came on "horseback" to visit, to attend the business meeting Saturday afternoon and to go to dinner with us that night. So good to see them looking outstandingly well. Ernie and Madaline Bauer also attended the rally. Ernie is the president of WBCCI Region 1, which covers New England and the Maritime provinces of Canada. They joined right in and had a great time with us. The significant value of membership in a WBCCI unit is the fellowship and adventure we enjoy during our rallies. Debbie and Todd Stroud made our rally go smoothly, even in light of a huge Winnebago rally at the same campground. And the visit to the sweet potato farm/processor on Friday was terrific. Who knew that sweet potatoes are a major export from Princeton NC? Well done, Todd and Debbie. We're hoping to see more of our new members at rallies this year. Since the last newsletter, we are pleased to acknowledge WD Turner of Garner and Milton and Regina McCoy of Clayton as our newest members of the Piedmont NC Unit. WD (WBCCI # 1624) is a bachelor with a 2016 25-ft Flying Cloud. He's been camping with it several times already. I've sent out his member page via email to everyone. Please welcome WD to our group. Milton and Regina McCoy have just joined and I am yet to receive their member number from HQ. However, they have a 2004 25-ft Safari. They live at 49 Aviary Court, Clayton NC 27520-4052. Cell is 919-271-7773 and email is mccoy921@hotmail.com. We're looking forward to camping with the McCoys and getting to know them. I'll send out a member page for them as soon as I get the information needed. Please call them or send them an email to welcome them to the unit. April is a busy month for our unit with the Old Dominion Unit Caravan starting up the week before the Region 3 Rally near King's Dominion, north of Richmond VA. Our unit has 12 member couples/singles registered for the Region 3 Rally, along with 3 of our affiliate members. Units from Virginia to Florida will be there. The latest registration I've received shows 89 member couples/singles signed up, so we expect more than 150 people to attend. Safe travels everyone, Richard Paschall, Membership Chairman 3
