Galvans Gorge, Barnett River Gorge, Drysdale River, Marunbabidi Camp. Today, travel through Kimberley cattle country to Galvans Gorge, where a short walk leads to a picturesque waterhole. Inspect the rock art on the gorge walls and take a leisurely swim. Continue to beautiful Barnett River Gorge and enjoy lunch amongst paperbark trees. Look for the birdlife that inhabits the area and perhaps enjoy a dip in the river. Then travel on the Kalumburu Road towards the Mitchell Plateau. Then arrive at our unique permanent wilderness lodge beside pandanus palm-fringed Camp Creek. Mitchell Falls, Gwion (Bradshaw) Art, Scenic Helicopter Flight Over the Falls. Discover beautiful Mitchell Falls, with its waterfalls and Aboriginal art. When available, local Aboriginal guides will join you to impart their knowledge of the area and share cultural beliefs. Begin with a hike to Little Merten Falls to view rare Aboriginal art. Continue on to view Gwion (Bradshaw) rock art and Big Merten Falls. Then arrive at stunning Mitchell Falls for a swim in the pools above the falls. Enjoy an included scenic helicopter flight over Mitchell Falls back to the vehicle (or, if you prefer, hike back with your guide). Stay: El Questro, enjoy staying in tented cabins at Emma Gorge Resort. Day 8. El Questro, Wyndham, Kununurra. This morning, hike into Emma Gorge., then enjoy time to explore El Questro. Soak in the hot pools of Zebedee Springs and visit the station township. Head to Wyndham and take in great views of the Cambridge Gulf from Five Rivers Lookout. Then continue to Kununurra, where 8 Day (GKC08) guests depart the tour on arrival around 6.00 pm. Two Night Stay: Kununurra, All Seasons Hotel. BL Day 9. Ord River and Lake Kununurra Cruise. This morning you have some free time to explore Kununurra. Then travel to Lake Argyle, the largest man-made lake in the Southern Hemisphere. This afternoon, join a spectacular wildlife cruise on the mighty Ord River. B Day 10. Purnululu (Bungle Bungle) National Park, Echidna Chasm. Purnululu National park is a spectacular wilderness region that was awarded World Heritage status in 003. Today explore the northern part of the park. Hike into Echidna Chasm, a spectacular cleft in the rock massif. Lodge, Purnululu National Park. The foundation offers economic and social support to ensure the self-sustainability and growth of these communities for the future. Day 11. Cathedral Gorge, Beehive Domes. Hike into Piccaninny Creek and Cathedral Gorge. Learn about bush tucker, medicine and the area s significance to Aboriginals. Perhaps take an optional helicopter flight (own expense). Enjoy drinks as the sun sets over the domes. Day 1. Halls Creek, Fitzroy Crossing. At 7 am this morning, 1 Day (GKC1) guests depart Purnululu National Park on a scenic flight to Kununurra, where their touring concludes on arrival. Remaining guests travel to Halls Creek and see the unusual China Wall, a natural quartz formation, then head to Fitzroy Crossing. Stay: Fitzroy Crossing, Fitzroy River Lodge. Day 13. Geikie Gorge Cruise, Depart Broome. Enjoy the morning at Geikie Gorge, where flooding has created a bleached effect on the sandstone walls. Your unique cruise is guided by a traditional Bunuba landowner. After lunch, travel to Broome, where the tour concludes.
