WELCOME The ACEM Winter Symposium 2017 will be held in South Australia s beautiful Barossa Valley from 26-29 of July 2017. The program will consist of four days of a combination of interactive sessions; workshops and plenary lectures. The focus will be on updates and reviews of clinical topics across the spectrum of Emergency Medicine by national and international speakers. The symposium will be held at the Novotel Barossa Valley Resort where up to 250 delegates will enjoy a fantastic social program whilst having the opportunity to network and catch up with old friends. There is no better time to enjoy the Barossa Valley than on sunny but crisp winter days; roaring fires; iconic red wines and fantastic locally produced food. ACEM WINTER SYMPOSIUM 2017 LOCATION Located in South Australia, 60 kilometres from Adelaide, the beautiful Barossa Valley is a gourmet lover s paradise enriched by a strong cultural heritage that is reflected in its people, cuisine, wine and architecture. The Novotel Barossa Valley Resort is a restful haven nestled among the vines, just over an hour s drive from the Adelaide city centre, adjacent to the 18-hole Tanunda Pines Golf Course and boasting panoramic views across the Barossa Ranges and Jacob s Creek Vineyards. Novotel Barossa Valley Resort has very recently embarked on an extensive refurbishment that included a complete redesign of its restaurant. Now called The Cellar Kitchen, the addition of a signature Gourmet Bar has created a sophisticated look and feel. Apart from this transformation, an exciting collaboration had been established with local artisan food producer, cook and food educator, Saskia Beer, to form a unique food partnership. Saskia s vision is to make Barossa ingredients and local producers the food heroes and Novotel a real foodie destination and the place for every visitor and local to experience the region s rich food heritage. Be sure to dine at The Cellar Kitchen during your stay, and experience for yourself this wonderful new creation! 3
