REAAA in brief The REAAA was formed in 1973 with a permanent secretariat in Kuala Lumpur. The REAAA (Malaysian Chapter), now renamed the Road Engineering Association of Malaysia, was established in April 1993 to coordinate REAAA's activities in Malaysia, especially in facilitating intra-technology transfer. 2. ackground Over the years, REAM has given full support to REAAA by way of cooperation and participation in all its activities. 3. Introduction The REAAA conferences are held once every two to four years. It is the most important event in the calendar of REAAA. The last conference, 14 th in its series was hosted by REAM in 2013 and the event was a resounding success with Indonesia sending its largest ever delegation. REAM hopes to reciprocate this gesture by organising a sizable delegation to.

The Conference Carrying the theme Roads for etter Living, the 15 th REAAA Conference will provide a forum for sharing common challenges, discovering new technologies, sharing best practices, and discussing policy issues, including the needs of the road industry. The technical sessions are programmed to promote more cost effective and sustainable roads which provide benefits to both governments, in terms of cost-savings, and the community, by way of improved amenity, access and safety. REAAA Conference / Workshop on Pavement Management System Full 2-day conference sessions on 22 and 23 March RM 3,400.00 (Fee includes welcome reception, all ceremonies, technical sessions, gala dinner, daily lunch and refreshments, proceedings and conference kit) 1-day conference session on 22 March RM 2,100.00 (Fee includes welcome reception and lunch and refreshments for the day) 1-day conference session on 23 March RM 2,300.00 (Fee includes welcome come reception, gala dinner and lunch and refreshments for the day) Discounted conference registration fee for YEP group members The Young Engineers and Professional (YEP) group was established under the auspices of REAM in tandem with the formation of Young Engineers / Professional Section by REAAA. The objective for the creation of this group is to present and provide a voice for young engineers and professionals below the age of 40 towards encouraging a culture of innovation, integrity and pursuit of excellence in the field of road engineering. A YEP meeting has been scheduled on 21 March in conjunction with this conference and towards encouraging greater participation, the organisers are offering a discounted registration fee of RM 2,100.00 for the conference for young engineers and professionals under the age of 40. 6.
