The Trugaia Precict Structure Pla (PSP) adds further mometum with a visio for ew vibrat eighbourhoods built aroud the statio ad the ew Tareit major tow cetre. The PSP has bee released by the Growth Areas Authority (GAA) for commuity iput. The pla evisages the costructio of 9,000 houses for a populatio of aroud 25,000 alog with the major tow cetre, two local tow cetres, ad areas for the expasio of commercial ad idustrial developmet. The three tow cetres will form the focus of expaded service delivery with commuity cetres, schools, idergartes, a idoor recreatio facility i additio to retail ad etertaimet. The employmet areas, together with the tow cetres, will complemet the opportuities created by ew coectios to Melboure ad Geelog through the rail lie with the geeratio of more tha 10,000 local jobs. Improvemets to the arterial road etwor are also plaed, with Morris Road ad Forsyth Road to be exteded orth to Boudary Road. Fudig is also beig put i place for the duplicatio of Leaes ad Dohertys Roads. The wider arterial etwor is desiged to maximise provisio for pedestrias ad cyclists as well as the platig of large street trees. The extesive ope space etwor will itegrate with the waterways of Seleto ad Dry Cree. The pla for ope space will lead to the costructio of more tha 20 ilometres of ew shared paths, four sportig reserves, 30 eighbourhood pars, ad areas for the coservatio of biodiversity values. Importatly, ew developmet will also retai importat aspects of the area s past, with a emphasis o retaiig the elemets of historical sigificace ad ladscape character. The pla puts i place the foudatios of a ew iterpretive heritage etwor that will esure the locality s story is ot lost. This zoe sets out the lad use ad developmet cotrols for the precict.
