Rieti is well known in the world for its fantastic gliding conditions, and it hosts every year the CIM (Coppa Internazionale del Mediterraneo). CLUB (with handicaps) STANDARD 15 meter Overall number of gliders is limited to 90, and the max number in any class to 40. Each NAC can enter up to 2 pilots and 1 reserve pilot in each class. The present European Champions are automatically qualified and are admitted in addition to the above quota.
18 th Fai Europen Gliding Championships 2015 will be conducted in compliance with the Fai Sporting Code: General Section edition 6 th October 2013 V2 Section 3 Gliding edition 1 st October 2014 SC3 Annex A edition 1 st October 2014 SC3 Handicaps edition 1 st October 2014 ENTRIES The Official Entry Form, available on the website, must be printed, signed and returned by email to us by 31 st March 2015 as the latest. NOTE that according to FAI rules, entries can be acceptes only from the NAC on the official entry form. Each pilot or team captain will be accepted only when the entry form and the entry fee have been correctly received by the Aero Club of Rieti. This status will be clearly indicated next to the pilot s name on the online entry list. The pilot s and team captain photo are required and must be sent by email at the same time as the entry form. MANDATORY SAFETY EQUIPMENTS Installation and use of proximity warning device (Flarm or equivalent); Emergency location devices such as ELT, PLB. SPOT, or equivalent LOCAL PROCEDURES The Local Procedures will be available on the official website in May 2015. TURN POINTS Official turn point list, in main format, will be available on the website in June 2015. CONTEST AREA -AIR SPACES Official Air Spaces file will be available on the website in June 2015. The altitude is in meters with reference to the QNH of the day. The daily reference QNH will be written on the task sheet and communicate at the briefing. SCORING SOFTWARE The official scoring software is See You Competition GENERAL INFORMATIONS Team Captains have to supply two national flags with the size of 1.2m x 1.8m and a digital recording of the National Anthem. Each trailer must be mark with the competition ID (contest number). Pilot s car must be mark with the competition ID (contest number) In June the team captains will receive by email a form that must be filled for each pilot and returned by email with a copy of the documents (flight license - medical certificate - FAI sport licence- glider registration certificate - ARC valid - third party liability insurance). Team Captains will be able to book for the whole team the check in time and the technical inspection time, before their arrival in Rieti.
