June, 2016 Dear Camper: Thank you for enrolling in our 2016 Warhawk Gymnastics Camp. We know you will enjoy your week or weeks with us on the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater campus. Final camp check-in for all campers is scheduled for 5:00-6:30 p.m. at the campus Visitor Center (see enclosed map) on Sunday July 10 th, Sunday July 17 th, Sunday July 24 th, or Sunday July 31st. All remaining camp fees should be paid 10 days prior to camp. At the Visitor Center you will receive your schedule for the week, meal card, and room assignment. Do not bring your personal belongings in with you. You will then proceed to the Hall where you will reside for the week. All sessions (1, 2, 3 & 4) will reside in Fischer Hall. At 7:00 p.m. all campers and parents will be required to attend a camp meeting in Hyland Hall, Timmerman Auditorium. At this time, we will discuss camp rules and introduce you to some of the staff. After the meeting, campers will depart from the meeting with the UW-Whitewater staff and proceed to their evening session at the gym. Please make sure to eat dinner prior to this meeting. At this evening session, campers will report to the Williams Center Gym 3 (2 nd floor) at 7:30 p.m. for stretching exercises, skill evaluation, and an introduction to the week s activities. Please make sure all campers have their gymnastics gear (leotard, grips, shorts, gym bag, etc.) when they come to the mandatory camp meeting. Evening activities end at 9:00 p.m. Commuters may be picked up at this time from Gym 3. Should you require medical attention an assessment will be made by the health supervisor and appropriate measures will be taken. UW-Whitewater camps have the full cooperation of the Fort Atkinson Memorial Hospital and emergency room personnel. ***All remaining fee payments need to be made 10 days prior to camp check-in. Enclosed is a copy of the Camp Rules and Regulations and Things to Bring. Please look over these materials before arriving on campus. We will enforce all rules, many of which are required for insurance purposes. On Thursday, the last day, parents are invited to come at 2:00 p.m. to watch the gymnastics show at the Williams Center. Please meet outside of Gym 3 (2 nd floor). Activities will be completed at 3:30 p.m. At the conclusion of the show, parents will then be able to pick up all of their camper s items from the dorms.
