Meeting opened at 10.41am. Business arising from previous minutes :- The Club was represented at the funeral of Merv Larfield and a floral arrangement was given. New Business :- Following the March meeting of the Club, Martin Lee has stepped down from the position of Secretary due to work commitments, the position is available if any member wishes to take it on. The 2016 Convention looks to be a reality with initial planning underway by the Classic Zephyr Zodiac Car Club NSW, it will take place in the NSW country town of Orange and the program will include a Show n Shine at the Ford Main Dealer and a visit to Mt Panorama Circuit & Museum in Bathurst. Motel style accommodation is at the West End Motor Lodge with rooms starting at around $115 per night, Ph. (02) 6362 5755 for bookings. For those wishing to camp, some of us will be at the Colour City Caravan Park, Ph. (02) 6393 8980 for bookings. More details to follow. Last Run :- There were fifteen Z cars attending our run/meeting at the Re-Love Inc. for coffee and Bar-B-Q lunch, a very relaxing day was had by all who attended. Next Run :- April 26 th Steam Train ride Rosewood to Kunkala. Members attending should meet on the Warrego Hwy slip road at Dinmore (UBD map 214 N3) for a 9am departure to Rosewood via Marburg. About the Journey :The train departs Cabanda station every hour and makes it s way up the steeply graded line, until about 10-15minutes later it arrives at Kunkala station, the highest point on the line. A round-trip takes about an hour, which leaves some time at Kunkala to grab some refreshments and have a look around. Ticket purchases :Just like the era it replicates, the Rosewood Railway requires no formal bookings; just arrive and purchase your authentic paper ticket on the day. Allow about 10-15 minutes for arrival and purchase of your ticket. Production of the Mk 11 Zephyr and Zodiac began at Dagenham on 19 January 1956, followed three weeks later by the Consul. Unlike their predecessors, the Three Graces had been entirely styled in the Briggs studio in Dagenham.
