FLIGHT PROCEDURE DESIGN PROCESS Departure Airport A Airport B A departure procedure provides obstacle clearance immediately after take-off until the aircraft intercepts an en-route segment. This route links the aerodrome or a specific runway of the aerodrome with a specified significant point, normally on a designated ATS route, at which the en-route phase of a flight commences. 8

PBN CONCEPT ICAO Resolution A37-11 The Assembly urges all States to implement RNAV and RNP air traffic services routes and approach procedures in accordance with the ICAO PBN concept. Implementation of approach procedure with vertical guidance (APV), including LNAV-only minima, for all instrument runway ends, either as the primary approach or as back-up for precision approaches by 2016. 18

Flight trials were performed. Continuous Descent Operations (CDO), significant reduction of fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. 26
