KEY FEATURES/PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICS Replaces: march 08 Scale: not to scale FaceLINE shopfront framing system has been designed to complement Elevate Series 406 FrontGLAZE and 702 & 704 SlideMASTER sliding doors. Glass close to the eternal face reduces the potential of dust buildup on transom ledges. Interlocking split mullions to accommodate epansion and contraction. The 102 50mm framing system has a variety of transom and mullion alternatives. Will accept glass from 6 to 10.50mm thickness. Full perimeter frame allows this system to be fitted into sub-head, sub-sill and sub-jambs if required. Four snap-on cover options. Designed for one or two-storey shopfronts. Vertical should not eceed the stock length. This is not a curtain wall system. Single Glaze 102mm. Eternal view. DESIGN FEATURES On there are several mullion and transom cover options. The detail on this page shows raised mullion cover with flat transom covers. We also offer a stronger 150mm version - Series 607. Replaces: march 08 Scale: not to scale
Design Features FaceLINE shopfront framing system has been designed to complement Elevate Series 406 FrontGLAZE and 702 & 704 SlideMASTER sliding doors. Using a pocketed perimeter frame solves a major problem with this type of framing system - how to fit sub-frames successfully. Four snap-on cover options: Flat vertical and horizontal covers. Raised vertical and flat horizontal covers. Raised vertical and horizontal covers. Raised vertical and splayed horizontal covers. We offer structurally glazed mullions or transoms on the 150mm frame version (Series 607). Note that we don't recommend structural mullions and transoms on the same frame. Designed for one or two-storey shopfronts. Vertical should not eceed the stock length. This is not a curtain wall system. Also available in 150mm frame (Series 607). These pages to be read in conjunction with Series 607 FaceLINE. Replaces: MARCH 08 Scale: not to scale High Water Resistance: We have successfully tested this system for compliance with relevant Australian Standards. We achieved a water resistance of 600Pa. Limitations: The snap covers are retained by friction; the mullions and transoms will resist a pull-off load of 2.0kN/m with a safety factor of 2. For mullions at 1200mm centres, this equates to a wind load not more than 1700Pa. Higher wind loads may require screw on flat snap-on covers or an alternative system. PAGE 1.361
DESIGN FEATURES Replaces: march 08 Scale: FULL SIZE The full size details on this page show how we will use the snap-on cover mullions and/or transoms with a full width perimeter frame. Raised splayed snap-on cover bead illustrated, other snap-on covers available as shown on later pages. This design feature makes it possible to fit this type of framing into sub-frames, as shown below. Concealed drainage holes Alternative: We also offer a 150mm frame width version of this system, refer Series 607. CAD file: DWG 407.FXD.1 Full width beaded sill suits sub-sill installation. Concealed drainage holes allow water to escape from the glazing pocket down into the sub-sill area. Sub-sill are always recommended under FaceLINE framing if you are serious about keeping the water out.
Design Features Replaces: MARCH 08 Scale: FULL SIZE The full size details on this page show how we will use the full width perimeter frame into two piece sub-jamb. This full width perimeter frame is what makes it possible to use sub-jambs. CAD file: DWG 407.FXD.2 Epansion mullion showing the optional mullion stiffeners for when you need a little more strength. Refer Pascal rating tables later in these notes for mullion strengths. Raised square snap-on cover illustrated. We also offer a low line flat snap-on cover, as shown on later details. PAGE 1.363
ALTERNATIVE FLAT COVERS Replaces: march 08 Scale: NOT TO SCALE This isometric view shows the flat covers on mullion and transom. Alternative cover combinations: Flat covers on mullion and transom as shown left. Raised square mullion cover with flat transom cover. Raised square mullion cover with raised splayed transom cover as shown earlier. Mullion covers stop on top of sill bead when you use the flat mullion cover/s. Concealed drainage holes in sill.
HEAD and TRANSOM The full size details on this page show how we will use the full width beaded head. This allows us to fit the frame into sub-head, as shown below. The lower detail shows the alternative flat snap-on cover that can be used on mullions and transoms in lieu of the standard raised covers shown on earlier pages. Replaces: MARCH 08 Scale: FULL SIZE Optional 40mm subhead shown dotted One piece sub-head. Head and sill have snap-on glazing bead. CAD file: DWG 407.FXD.1 Snap together transom. Refer Pascal rating tables later in the notes for transom strengths. PAGE 1.365
