Hello CAMPERS & PARENTS! Come and spend a week at one of our camps! Your summer could be filled with exciting activities, awesome food, and tons of fun! Camp is a space where you have opportunities to make new friends and build confidence and independence while being mentored by well-trained and fun-loving staff! This is an opportunity for mental, social, emotional, physical, and spiritual growth in an outdoor setting that allows you to get up close and personal with God s creation. We run a Christian camp program to which campers of all faith perspectives are invited and welcomed. Bible time includes singing, stories, skits, and activities. The lessons each day are based on this summer s theme of Discipleship. Campers will learn about what it means to be a disciple, or follower, of Jesus in this world. Day Camps Completed Gr. 1-4 / Assiniboia Five days of camp while sleeping in your own bed! Each day is filled with fun and creative activities like nature exploration, Bible time, swimming, games, horsemanship, ropes, archery, and more! Bus transportation is included in the fee. Pre-Junior Camp Completed Gr. 1-3 / Assiniboia A taste of life at overnight camp (three days and two sleeps) for our youngest campers! Take in horsemanship, ropes, nature, Bible time, swimming, and more! Come make new friends and meet cool staff! It ll be so much fun! Camps Junior & Intermediate Camps Completed Gr. 2-5 & Gr. 4-6 Assiniboia / Moose Lake / Koinonia Packed with each camp s unique activities, this week will be awesome! All of the camps include a night out under the stars (camp out in a tent!), Bible time, field games, time in nature, and other fun activities that will keep you, your friends (new or old), and the staff hopping! From each camp s specialty activities to the craziness that comes with the Choose a Challenge activities, it is sure to be a memorable week. Extreme Green Adventure Week Completed Gr. 6-8 / Koinonia Ever wonder what it would be like to spend half of the week canoeing on the lake and half of the week back at camp doing all the Koinonia specialties? Do we have the week for you! Come challenge yourself, learn new skills (canoeing and outdoor living), and share the week with other cool people who are doing the same.
Youth Camps Completed Gr. 9-12 / Moose Lake / Koinonia Come one, come all if you fit the category of youth, to a week of good times, new and old friends, campouts, Bible sessions, camp specific activities, challenging workshops, and just enjoying time together. It s going to be great! Girls Only Camp Completed Gr. 4-6 / Assiniboia Imagine a week at camp, just with girls! The week includes horsemanship, archery, Bible time, ropes, swimming, campout, and so much more! It will be a great week filled with making friends and enjoying the goodness that is camp! Extreme Ropes Camp Completed Gr. 7-9 / Assiniboia Want an adrenaline rush this summer? Sign up and you will get to experience Ropes in a whole new way more time on the ropes course means more opportunities to try out the different elements! Advanced Horsemanship Camp Completed Gr. 7-9 / Assiniboia If you love horses, this is the week for you! Come for a week jam packed with learning about and being with horses! Wilderness Skills Camp Completed Gr. 7-9 / Assiniboia Think learning wilderness skills would be cool? Come learn about food, water, shelter, fire, and navigation in the wilderness! Art Camp Completed Gr. 7-9 / Assiniboia Unleash your imagination as you create art in fun, new ways! Whether you are a beginner or a pro in the making, this exciting new program will let you choose projects at a level that you are comfortable with. FAQs Are there any discounts? Registrations received by March 31 st qualify for a $20 early bird discount. If two or more campers register from the same family, a family discount of $20 applies to the second and additional children. Registrations must be mailed in the same envelope or completed online on the same day. Do you accommodate campers with special needs? Yes! Our special needs program provides support for children and youth who need help to have a successful week. If your child has a disability please provide details with your registration or call us. Apply early to hold your spot. Our trained staff will contact each family, starting in May, to confirm spots and help us prepare adaptive programming and care. A conversation or interview will be requested. Will there be more information coming? You bet! We begin mailing out camper acceptance letters to registered campers in May. The letter will include what to pack for camp, transportation details, and how to prepare your camper. Can I register my camper for more than one session? Yes! Complete a separate registration form when applying for more than one week. What if our family can t afford the fees? Every child should have the opportunity to go to camp. The camp office has some funding available and so does the Manitoba Camping Association's Sunshine Fund (http://www.mbcamping.ca/for-parents/sunshine-fund.cfm). Please don't hesitate to contact us! How will the border regulations affect campers at Camp Moose Lake? The nearest hospital to camp is in Roseau, MN. Due to the border crossing regulations, the following documentation will be required at registration (or at the bus) or campers will not be allowed to attend: Campers 15 years of age and under: original or copy of birth certificate or other proof of citizenship. Campers 16+ years of age: passport or secure ID
Register Fill out the online registration form and submit your secure online payment or send a paper copy of the registration form to our head office along with a cheque made out to Mennonite Church Manitoba.
