2014REVIEW! A YEAR WITH PROFILE 22 2014 saw some exciting events in our industry. We look back at some of the highlights we experienced with our customers throughout the year.
January We launched our animated video to showcase our new fully-reversible window system. Our very own commercial marketing manager, Wendy Fenney, starred in the two-minute feature, which you can see on our website. February saw a full update of our product literature suite, bringing it all into compliance with a strong, consistent theme. An update of our specifiers guide rounded off another productive month. February
March Inverurie-based installer, Colin Tough Joinery, opened a brand-new showroom. Aberdeen FC Defender, Mark Reynolds, performed the official opening for the expanding company, which works closely with Profile 22 fabricator Merlin Network. March also saw the first public unveiling of our fully-reversible window on the Epwin Group stand at Ecobuild. The exhibition, held at London s ExCeL resulted in over 70 leads for our commercial fabricators. April Polar Windows, a Profile 22 Approved Commercial Manufacturer (ACM) completed an innovative refurbishment programme on behalf of Kirklees Council. The high-rise building, locally known as Harold Wilson Court, was renovated with the aim of providing affordable warmth and cheaper energy costs for its residents.
Profile 22 fabricator, Burbage Custom Windows, invested in a new Haffner SBA-2 PVC-U machining centre, enabling them to increase production by 100 frames per week. May June Our open house event, which ran alongside the industry FIT show, was a huge success with plenty of you popping in to see us! Here we launched our template website service as part of our marketing support package, providing all our customers with a simple means of creating a professional-looking website.
Approved Commercial Manufacturer, Nolan upvc, celebrated its 25th anniversary and partnership with Profile 22 in the form of a charity golf day, raising over 5000 for Barnardo s Cymru. July Meanwhile, Emplas sales and marketing director, Mike Crewdson, took to the hills, raising 22,000 for charity in a coast-to-coast walk in memory of his late wife, Rosemary. August We unveiled our first BIM object! Building Information Modelling (BIM) is a Government initiative set to revolutionise the procurement and management of the built environment. Compliance is required by 2016. Our innovation and technical expertise proved invaluable to Solihull Community Housing. Installing the windows from the inside led to greater efficiencies across their high-rise refurb project, saving them time and money. The project caught the eye of Housing Association Building and Maintenance (HABM) magazine, resulting in a front cover and lead feature.
September We made the headlines again, when Profile 22 ACM, Nolan upvc, supplied windows and doors to the latest Camarthenshire County Council development, forming part of a wider affordable housing scheme. October Harold Wilson Court was shortlisted in the Transformation category in the prestigious Sustainable Housing Awards, presented by Sir Ranulph Fiennes.
November Emplas scooped a double victory at the industry s renowned G-Awards, winning Customer Care Initiative of the Year and the Conservatory Installer award for its retail arm, T&K Home Improvements. December The first of our template websites were launched, with FabFrames, Stedek and Colin Tough Joinery all reaping the benefits of this fabulous addition to our marketing support bundle. Leighton Buzzard Library received a facelift when Unicorn Windows supplied and installed new windows and doors. They secured the contract based on their locality, just a short walk from the library and their status as a loyal and trusted Profile 22 installer.
