Its distinguishing features are the rugged escarpment to the north, the river itself, and its numerous islands, lagoons and floodplains which attract most of the Zambian wildlife. There are approximately 50 mammal species and 400 bird species, which thrive in the Park, as well as a wide variety of spectacular trees, grasses and flowers. Abundant water, food and shelter give rise to one of Africa's healthiest elephant populations, vast herds of buffalo, prides of lion, leopards, hyenas, jackals, hippos, crocodile, zebra, various small carnivores and omnivores, antelope and over 400 species of birds.visitors to the Park are assured of seeing very little human activity. This has led to the Lower Zambezi National Park providing one of Africa's finest wilderness experiences. The legendary Zambezi River is, in itself, a spectacle and is the namesake of this pristine wilderness. Along its 2700 km course, the Zambezi fertilises the Barotse floodplains, plunges over the Victoria Falls and replenishes the massive Lake Kariba before reaching the Lower Zambezi. Here, a myriad of islands have formed, creating a home and feeding ground for an incredible amount of diverse Zambian wildlife. Together this creates one of the most diverse and interesting eco-systems on the planet, providing the opportunity to explore these habitats in an unmatched variety of safari activities. What makes wildlife viewing extra special in the Lower Zambezi is the opportunity to watch many of these creatures often at close quarters from, in and around the river. CHIAWA CAMP 3 Nights Chiawa Camp blends in effortlessly with its idyllic surroundings, and provides a retreat which guests are invited to make their home away from home. Guests receive the friendliest of welcomes, the biggest of smiles and leave as friends to return time and again, to experience the very best in Africa.

On the banks of the Zambezi River, under a grove of evergreen Mahogany trees, Chiawa Camp holds the prime position in the heart of Zambia s Lower Zambezi National Park. A stunning thatched lounge/bar area with upstairs viewing deck provides one of the best views of the Zambezi River, and a fantastic setting to watch the sun set over another day in Africa. After enjoying Chiawa s renowned cuisine on the al-fresco dining veranda, one can relax by the open camp fire with a cocktail in-hand, reminiscing upon the day's adventures before retiring for the night. Each of the tents are a sanctuary of luxury and tranquillity. Also available for guests' enjoyment and relaxation are two perfectly positioned game viewing hides and a gorgeous swimming pool with timber sun deck overlooking the Zambezi. For the more active, a small but well equipped, secluded Exercise Area with a splendid view of the Zambezi is available for guests who might wish to work off some calories or keep up their fitness levels. ACCOMMODATION The tents all have timber floors and verandas with excellent views and are accessible by paths running behind them, to maximise privacy. All share ample comforts, conveniences and unexpected luxuries, complemented by high quality, eco-friendly amenities. These include: Free WiFi 24/7 lighting and charging facilities (220v UK plugs) 24/7 hot & cold running water Super-King size beds Egyptian cotton linens His & Hers washbasins Indoor and outdoor showers Ball & Claw Baths We believe these tents set the standard for luxury Lower Zambezi National Park accommodation; however they still retain the rustic and unpretentious feel that Chiawa is so well-loved for. RYL Airstrip Access Fee, Tourism Levy, Park, Conservation & Community Fees EXCLUDES : Air/River transfers or other camp transfers; Park Angling Permits, private guiding, gratuities or visa fees, lost/broken fishing tackle, Airport Departure taxes, hotels and meals in Lusaka SOUTH LUANGWA NATIONAL PARK The unspoiled South Luangwa National is one of the great remaining unspoiled regions of Africa. Even as Zambia s reputation as a spectacular safari destination grows, it retains its essence of true wilderness; its a place that still feels relatively untouched by modern humans, and is therefore uniquely able to provide an unpredictable and exhilarating safari experience The park is centered around the Luangwa River. Untapped by man, its natural ebb and flow of flooding makes much of the park inaccessible by road which keeps it a sanctuary for the large concentration of game that live there. A paradise for birders, over 450 species are to be found in the park, and the wildlife includes elephant, buffalo, hippos, giraffe, leopards and lions. Very few places in Africa can offer the unique combination of South Luangwa National Park's open, grassy plains and mature, mesmerizing woodlands, crowned with the pristine, impressive Luangwa River. This area's reputation for abundant wildlife and unspoiled vegetation is well earned, so whether driving around or walking through, the intense beauty calls to you from every corner. The impressive park covers an area of about 9050 square kilometers of the Luangwa Valley floor, and lies anywhere from 500 meter to 800 meter above sea level. With its western and north western edge bounded by the Muchinga Escarpment, and the southern border lined with the meandering Luangwa River, there's no shortage of dramatic and fascinating topography in this stunning game-rich park.

WILDLIFE IN SOUTH LUANGWA NATIONAL PARK At this point you may be wondering what it is that draws so many wildlife enthusiasts and safari connoisseurs to this particular area, often returning to the same camps many times over. South Luangwa s concentration of animals is some of the most dense in all of Africa. The park offers a multitude of game that will satisfy any safari bucket list: from predators like the famed African wild dogs, majestic lions, and lean leopards to big game favorites like elephants, buffalo, and hippo, this park has them all. South Luangwa also offers unique animal sightings, such as Zambia s beloved Crawshay s zebra herds (whose stripes are more distinct than those found further south and west); 14 different species of antelope, including the elusive bushbuck; and the attractive kudu, with its spiral horns and delicate face. Did we mention there are also 400 species of birds in the park, including 39 birds of prey? You ll want to pack your binoculars and a camera so you can capture your sightings of these amazing creatures. And because this park offers day and evening game drives, which is unique in the world of safari, a whole other nocturnal realm is opened up for your viewing excitement. LUANGWA RIVER CAMP 3 Nights Luangwa River Camp sits nestled under an ancient ebony grove on the banks of the Luangwa River overlooking the game rich area known as the Luangwa Wafwa. This small and intimate camp with just five bush suites, along with its setting and location creates a real wow factor and a romantic feeling simply flows through the camp. ACCOMMODATION :The subtly decorated bush suites with brick walls and thatch roof each have en-suite bathrooms with sunken bathtubs looking out onto your own private corner of Africa. Both the bedroom and bathroom are afronted with large sliding doors leading onto a decked area allowing a lovely breeze into the room and great views onto the river. The main area stretches over various elevated decked levels amongst which a tempting double plunge pool with a waterfall linking the two is situated. Seating areas around the pool or in the shade of the open plan bar on the highest level all offer uninterrupted views across the river and into the National Park. Luangwa River Camp offers all the creature comforts of a lodge yet retains the intimacy and privacy of a bush camp. ACTIVITIES Game drives An option of day or night drives. Toyota Landcruisers with two tier seats (three tier for groups / families) are used - a "window" seat (i.e. two people per row) for everyone. Open top vehicles, affording you total 360 degree vision. Walking The walks are led by our knowledgeable guides, and escorted by an armed National Park scout. Our guiding team is very passionate and will certainly impart some amazing bush insights at a level that will surprise you. Feel at one with nature and get closer to the action, see the details and signs that the animals leave behind. Seasonal Boating - A special treat indeed for guests in the Emerald Season. From end December/January to around April. Explore the lagoons for enhanced game viewing and birding. Village Tours A visit to Kawaza Village and the schools is often remembered years later by our guests as the most rewarding part of their visit to Africa. This gives a more holistic experience of the Luangwa Valley. Alternatively take a stroll within the community around the Mfuwe area which is bustling small dukas (shops), the market, bars, and people offering various skills. Wildlife Education Centre A charitable trust for the school children of the Luangwa Valley to teach them about wildlife and conservation. Great activity for the children especially. Tribal Textiles For unique locally produced hand-painted textiles, drawing inspiration from the stunning Zambian wildlife and surroundings. A perfect place to buy a souvenir or two of your Zambian experience... INCLUDES: All meals, all game viewing activities (2 per day - game drives or walking safaris), laundry, bar, Park Fees, transfers to/from Mfuwe Airport, meet & greet at Lusaka & Mfuwe Airports.South Luangwa inter-camp transfers included in the rate. EXCLUDES: Visas, flights (except for special interest safaris where flights are included), staff gratuities

KAFUE NATIONAL PARK - ZAMBIA ABOUT KAFUE NATIONAL PARK Kafue National Park is Zambia's oldest park and by far the largest. It was proclaimed in 1950 and is spread over 22 400 square kilometers, making it one of the largest National Parks in Africa. It is fed by three rivers, the Lufupa in the north-west and the Lunga and Kafue in the north-east. The Lufupa River floods in the summer, creating a large floodplain delta system that attracts thousands of water birds. The Lunga and Kafue rivers are wide and slow-flowing, banded by riverine forest. Habitats in the Park are diverse, and include floodplains, miombo woodland and dambos. It has good concentrations of plains game and their predators as well as the largest species diversity in Zambia, including animals that are rare or non-existent in other southern African countries, such as Lichtenstein's hartebeest, roan antelope, Defassa waterbuck and oribi. Birdlife is spectacular, consisting of 491 species. In the extreme north of the Kafue lies the Busanga Plains - one of Zambia's most significant wetland resources and one of the few areas in the world that remain untouched by development and human activity. Covering 750 square kilometers of breathtaking wilderness, it is c onsidered the jewel in the Kafue crown. This is the best area in Zambia to see cheetah. Despite the depravations of poaching and lack of management, the Park is still a raw and diverse slice of African wilderness with excellent game viewing, bird watching and fishing opportunities FIG TREE BUSH CAMP 3 Nights Fig Tree is named after the giant fig tree next to the boma (central area) overlooking a unique sandy lagoon. This lagoon maintains its alluring water throughout the season attracting an array of wildlife, including elephant, puku, impala, warthog, zebra, and hartebeest. Predators like lion, cheetah, leopard and hyena are regular visitors and the wild dog have been known to prey on the concentration of game. The camp has tented accommodation on 3-meter high platforms above the ground, giving a spectacular view of the plains and the lagoon where various animals come to drink. The beautiful location in combination with spectacular accommodation and the variety of wildlife are the main attractions not to mention the remoteness of the Camp and as always the good food. ACCOMMODATION: Tented accommodation on 3m high platforms ACTIVITIES: We do game drives twice a day. One departs at sunrise and the afternoon drive (partly a night drive) leaves at approximately 2 hours before sunset. Drives are 3.5 to 4 hours long. Our vehicles are located in the park, which is a short boat trip across the Kafue River, so game drives depart from within the park daily. Walking Safaris leave around an hour after sunrise to avoid the heat of the day. The walks take place in the Kafue National Park itself and are approximately 3 hours (unfortunately not available due to the wet conditions from approximately Dec to May). INCLUDES : Accommodation, Meals, 2 activities per day and bar, park fees and bed levies, transfers EXCLUDES : gratuities, premium drinks, items of a personal nature and items not listed above MUKAMBI SAFARI LODGE 1 Night Commonly known as The Gateway to The Kafue National Park, Mukambi Safari Lodge is centrally located in the park, right on the banks of the stunning Kafue River. The Kafue National Park is one of the largest national parks in Africa (roughly the size of Wales at more than 22,000km²) therefore we would recommend you book with us for at least a week so you have time to explore this vast park and combine time at Busanga, Fig Tree and Mukambi. However, shorter bookings of 3 to 4 nights at Mukambi will also guarantee a truly unique safari!

Mukambi Safari Lodge is open all year round. Our peak-season is May-December, but during the Emerald Season (December-May), the Kafue National Park also has wonderful safaris to offer. Game might be a little harder to spot, but the fifty shades of green, stunning bright light (photographers best) and beauty of the bush, still guarantee a unique and highly rewarding experience. During the green season Mukambi is the only lodge open to guests in the Northern and Central part of Kafue National Park. ACCOMMODATION: There are 8 comfortable en-suite chalets, 1 luxury family Riverside Villa and 4 Luxury Tents ACTIVITIES: We do game drives twice a day. Fishing trips (Mukambi Safari Lodge Only) Fishing trips by boat take place at any time of day and are approximately 2.5 hours long. Only basic equipment and bait included. It is advisable for professional fishermen to bring their own equipment if possible. Boat cruises/sunset cruises (Mukambi Safari Lodge Only) Boat cruises over the Kafue river can also take place at any time of the day but we also have a scheduled Sunset Cruise each evening. With the help of generous donors we were able to establish the Mukambi Community School. Daily visits to the school are scheduled after the morning activity. Guests often ask us what they can bring as a gift for the school so we generally request for English reference books and children s reading books and magazines for their library plus any consumables. However, any donations are well received! INCLUDES : Accommodation, Meals, 2 activities per day and bar, park fees and bed levies, transfers EXCLUDES : Gratuities, Premium drinks, Items of a personal nature and Items not listed above LIVINGSTONE ZAMBIA Spend 4 memorable days exploring one of the 7 Natural Wonders of the World from one of Africa s top Safari Destinations!
