I hope the Holidays were good to everyone and that they brought Peace Love and Happiness to all! As we start the New Year there are a few changes. I have booked trips, changed a few things and decided to have our Birthday Celebrations for every three months on one day! Check the Calendar for the date. Cake and Beverage. Start time is 10:30. Drop in on Tuesday s! Trivia Brain games, Cards, Board games, Puzzles, Coffee, Conversation and Lunch. Check the Calendar for the dates. Start time. Wednesday and Thursday STEP IN for some exercise! We are a Lively group, afterwards grab a cup of coffee, tea or a bottle of water to cool down! There may be a scheduled craft after some exercise classes, just check the calendar for those days. Start time is 10am. Once a Month we will have a Donut, Muffin Morning! The day will be posted on the Calendar. Start time is 10:30am. Once a Month Bingo, a Dollar a card, everything we take in will be given back as prize money, as well as other prizes. Pizza Lunch will be served. You must RSVP! Start time is 11:00 am. Once a Month Movie Morning! Snacks and Beverage provided. The day will be posted on the Calendar. Start time is 10:30am. Anyone interested in starting a Book Club? Please let me know, I think it would be great to read and share thoughts with our group, once a month. Once a Month Close KNIT Seniors Knitting group will meet the First Tuesday of every Month. Bring in your knitting, sit back and enjoy yourself! All are welcome! Beverage and snack. Start time 1:00 until 3:00.
SENIORS ARE CRUISING This program offers a wide variety of affordable trips and destinations from Casino trips, to Frankenmuth, Mystery trips and lunches, and some overnight trips! So check out our newsletter to see what may interest you! JANUARY 11 th, FRIDAY-A shopping trip to our friendly Meijer. Grocery shopping or check out the after Christmas/New Year sales. Depart the Center at 11am, arrive at Meijer 11:30, shop until 2:00. Board bus at 3:00 to leave. Smart Bus service. $2.00 JANUARY 18 th, FRIDAY-The White Horse Inn-in Metamora Mi. We will be enjoying a Delicious Lunch followed by a private tour of the Inn. If time allows we will also stop in at a local Bakery. We will leave the Center at exactly 10am, arrive at 11:00, lunch is at 11:30, tour follows lunch. $21.00 trip. $2.oo for bus driver tip FEBRUARY 8 th, FRIDAY-Greek Town Casino. We will leave the Center at exactly 9am, arrive at 10am. Board bus for home at 2:45 leaving the Casino at 3pm. $30.00 trip. $2.00 for bus driver tip. FEBRUARY 14 th, THURSDAY-Mystery Trip! Leaving the Center at 11am and returning at 3pm! Take a chance, see where we end up! Bring spending money and $2.00 for the Smart Bus service. MARCH 15 th, FRIDAY-Genittis Hole in the Wall. We will enjoy a 7 course meal followed by a Murder Mystery Show. We will leave the Center at exactly 10am arrive at 11am, lunch is at 11:30 and show follows lunch. $44.00 trip $2.00 bus driver tip. MARCH 27 th, MJR in Chesterfield. We will take in a 1:00-1:15 movie leaving the Center at 12:15 sharp. One lucky person will get a free ticket for their movie by way of raffle on the bus! You should know: The Armada Senior Center Welcomes ALL people 55 and over. We are a fun loving group that offers a little bit of something for everyone. If you have a special craft/talent you would like to share or demonstrate to your fellow Seniors or a program you would like to attend, let me know.
