Composition of SYKAP The Ministry of Development and Competitiveness created the Coordination Centre against illicit trade (S.Y.K.A.P.) to cooperate with the competent authorities to address issues of illicit and counterfeit trade. SYKAP, established September 2012, is composed by: The Secretary General of Commerce, Mr. Komninos, as President. The Executive Officer Mr Bouloukos And one representative of the: - General Secretariat of Consumer - Hellenic Police - Hellenic Coast Guard - Financial and Economic Crime Unit (S.D.O.E.) - General Directorate of Customs, Ministry of Finance. - Central Union of Municipalities of Greece (KEDE). - Union of Regional Administration (ENPE) COMPOSITION OF SYKAP

Operational objectives of SYKAP (2014) create awareness among competent agencies to new anticounterfeiting organize and train competent officers across all relevant authorities to optimize alignment and flow of information implement in real time new techniques of risk analysis and targeting in order to strengthen the cooperation with the stakeholders OPERATIONAL OBJECTIVES OF SYKAP (2014) better management of complaints and cooperation with the private sector (building actions with the rights holders)

Operational objectives of SYKAP (2014) raise public awareness against counterfeit trade communicate to the rest of the member countries Greek government s successful measures against illicit & counterfeit trade identify new fraud techniques as well as establish the relevant means to fight against counterfeit trade OPERATIONAL OBJECTIVES OF SYKAP (2014) conduct large scale anti counterfeit operations- give a strong signal across the country to counterfeiters in view of the summer tourist period in Greece

Also created the website www.1520.gov.gr, in which citizens will be able to electronically submit their complaints

Other initiatives New Law 4155/2013 (Issue A -120, 29 May 2013 ) for counterfeit Products Conducted free publicity campaign, social messages to combat illegal trade and public awareness with television and radio stations nationwide. Other initiatives An awareness campaign is in process by the Secretary General of Commerce Stefanos Komninos and the Executive Officer of SYKAP Dimitrios Bouloukos, for the new legal framework, in the following areas: Attica (South Sector, Western Division), Central Macedonia (Thessaloniki, Katerini), Region of Peloponnese (Tripoli), Western Region of Greece (Patras), Region of Crete and the Region of Ionian Islands (Lefkada), Syros, Serres, Customs of Kakavia & Promahona, Xanthi, Pyrgos. SYKAP is representing Greece in the European Piracy Observatory.
