The estimated cost is just over $3 million. 12/20/1968 Four persons were injured in a two-car accident on Route 85, five miles east of Kittanning. Marilyn Heberling, 19, of Home RD1 was reported in satisfactory condition at the Kittanning hospital. William Myers, 21, of Worthington and his wife, Doris, 22, were both listed in satisfactory condition. Their son David, age six months, was treated for a fracture of the left arm and released. The building is located at Main and Second Streets in Leechburg. 12/20/1968 Members of the Armstrong County Planning Commission last night discussed at length the need for and value of a long-range capital improvement plan for the county. Such a plan would encompass county parks, sewer and water program needs, a county airport, county home, other county building needs and major projects with which the county may be faced with in the future. Revived plans for a county airport being developed by the county Airport Authority suggested an airport site.
