THAT BUILDS BUILDING THE FUTURE. PRESERVING THE PAST. HONORING JACK ROUSH AND RAISING THE VITAL FUNDS FOR THE NATIONAL MUSEUM OF AVIATION AND TECHNOLOGY On October 30, 2014 the Yankee Air Museum took possession of 144,000 square feet of the Willow Run Bomber Plant that it and the Michigan Aerospace Foundation saved. Since that time, key milestones have been met, including power washing the entire building, construction of the enclosing walls and the installation of a new mega-door on the north side. The first Museum aircraft entered the building on February 16, 2016. Much remains to be done. Fundraising efforts must be redoubled to keep our progress well-paced with our positive plans and goals. This signature event is dedicated to contributing funds to building the next great aviation museum and honoring the legendary industrialist, racer, aviator, and friend: Jack Roush.
