HOTEL ACCESSIBILITY PACK Thank you for considering staying at the Hilton Warwick/Stratford-upon-Avon. We are pleased to give you some information about our hotel that you may find useful when planning your visit. Arriving at the hotel The hotel is off the M40 (Junction 15), on the A429 signposted to Warwick Castle. A local bus serving Warwick and Stratford-upon-Avon stops outside the hotel. Warwick Parkway Railway Station is about 4 miles from the hotel. The car park, which can hold 240 cars, operates on a pay-on-foot system. The parking area is on ground evel with 6 parking spaces for blue badge holders, 30 to 45 metres from the entrance of the hotel. There is a lowered kerb immediately outside the entrance of the hotel if you want to be dropped off. Access to the hotel is by a revolving door or one of the two glass swing doors, which open inwards and outwards. There is a bell on the wall by the left-hand glass door if you need help. Welcome & Reception When you enter the hotel, the reception check-in desk is on the ground floor on the left hand side. The right of the reception area is open plan, with a combined bar, lounge, and Cafe Cino area, leading through to the Restaurant 360 restaurant. The floor in the reception lobby area is marble with 3 carpeted areas. The check-in desk is 110cms high. There is a roped off HHonors check-in desk with a further 2 check in points to the right of this. You can check in with a member of staff in our lounge area. An induction loop is fitted to the middle check-in terminal. This is signposted on the front of the reception desk. A handrail, 96cms high, runs along the two standard check-in desks. If you need help with luggage, a porter is always available. When you check-in, we will you about our evacuation policy, which is also available in Braille and bold print. Other Services You can order a daily newspaper from our Reception. You can arrange a wake-up call through our Reception team or you can set a wakeup call in your room using the phone system or television. You can make dinner reservations at Reception. Each room has a guest directory that contains information about the facilities available in the hotel. For extra help to use this direction, please contact Reception. We have a non-stop check-out service available.

Wireless internet access is available in our reception, bar, lounge, Cafe Cino area and you can buy vouchers from our reception desk. Smokers can use the designated outside area at the left of the hotel entrance. Toilet Facilities There are 3 sets of public toilets in the hotel, one set is in the conference lobby area and another is just inside the main entrance, on the left-hand side, in the Charlecote Suite. These are not accessible toilets. The main toilets are to the right of the reception desk, either side of the business centre, and include specific accessible toilets, including baby-changing facilities. Getting round the Hotel The 2 lifts are straight ahead from the main entrance, opposite the Living Well Health Club and just before the entrance to the ground floor bedrooms. We refer to bedrooms on this floor as first floor bedrooms. Both lifts are fairly small, 284cms wide x 387cms deep, with mirrors on the upper part of the right, left and back walls. Both lifts have an announcement system to let you know which floor you are on and tactile (with markings which can be felt) buttons at the regulation height. Business Centre The business centre is to the right of reception. This area is carpeted and there is not much space. A business co-ordinator is available Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm. Our reception team provide business services outside these times. Guests can use the 2 computers by buying a voucher from reception. Bar, Lounge & Cafe Cino You can get to the Restaurant from the lobby area through the lounge and Cafe Cino. The restaurant is split-level with the raised seating area carpeted up a graded wooden floor ramp. You may need help to get up this ramp as it is quite steep. The lower area, which includes the hot food servery and cold selection area, has marble tiled flooring. We can provide special cutlery if you have difficulties. We have fitted a permanent ramp to the restaurant fire escape, which leads to the entrance of the main hotel car park. Living Well Health Club Our Health Club is on the ground floor. You can get to it from the main lobby area or from the car park. If you enter from the car park, there is a dropped kerb and 2 sets of double doors. The reception area, changing rooms and gymnasium all have wooden floors. The reception always has someone on duty during opening times. We have an induction look at the reception desk. When you enter the C, you must sign a pre-activity questionnaire. There are men s and women s changing rooms, with a large separate familychanging cubicle, which include a specially adapted shower with seat and toilet, along with baby changing facilities. This is immediately on the left-hand side just beyond the reception area.

The gymnasium has a wooden floor and has 2 treadmills, one rower, one bike, one stepper, one AB cradle and free weights. There is a multigym and hand bike which can be specially adapted. There is a wheelchair access to the pool by the lift, which is immediately next to the health club entrance in the lift lobby. One of our Living Well team will operate this form you. The swimming pool is fitted with a pool hoist. You can get to the sauna and steam room through the swimming pool area. No children under the age of 6 are allowed in these 2 areas and medical restrictions also apply. We provide towels when you enter the Health Club. There is a water dispenser at the entrance to the main changing rooms. Bedrooms There are 4 accessible, non-smoking rooms with wheel-in showers (three doubles and one twin) on the ground floor (rooms 111, 113, 115 and 117). All accessible rooms have grab rails either side of the toilet, a higher level toilet or portable raised seat, an emergency pull cord in the bathroom and bedroom, a seat in the wheel-in shower, a lower level sink, low level electric light switches, a low level spy hole in the bedroom door, wider bathroom doors and low level climate controls. We can add the following equipment to any room in the hotel for your use: - bed risers - an easy access handy bather (inflatable chair for getting in and out of the bath - a vibrating pillow - a Cosby bath seat - a Derby raised toilet seat - an Ashby Step-Two - a rubber bath mat - an incontinence sheet Your room will have a chair at a desk and a comfy chair. If you need extra space, we can remove any of these items. Please contact either reservations, before your stay, or housekeeping once you have arrived at the hotel, to arrange for the furniture to be removed. In the Event of Emergencies: The Hotel operates a system of PEEPs (Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans). On check-in to the Hotel, you will be offered the opportunity to discuss and outline any special requirements or assistance you may need should an evacuation of the Hotel be necessary as a result of a fire or other emergency. You will be given a copy of this Emergency Evacuation Plan and we will keep a copy for our Hotel Fire Team to refer to in case of an evacuation taking place during your stay. The Plan will specify which of our Team Members will be designated to assist you, should you require this. Should you have any concerns regarding emergency evacuations, please speak to the Duty Manager. Conference Facilities We have one self-contained suite which includes three syndicate rooms and has a set of toilets. The Castle Suite is made up of the Avon Suite, Warwickshire Suite and the Conservatory. We can split the Avon in 2 smaller rooms the Hampton and the Barford. The Warwickshire can be split into 2 smaller rooms, the Warwick and the Shire. There are 11 extra meeting rooms. All conference rooms are on the ground floor and are at the same level as the main reception area. All conference rooms have self-locking doors. See below for a fuller description of the main meeting rooms. If you need help, can you contact the conference supervisor by phone, which is connected to our bleep system. You can hire audio visual equipment before your event. Please let the Conference & Banqueting Sales Agent know when you make your booking. The Charlecote Suite This room is immediately inside the main entrance on the left-hand side. It has a carpeted lobby area, with access to the main conference room and to 3 small syndicate rooms. Although this suite has toilets, an accessible toilet is in the main toilets to the right of reception. The main room has natural daylight with curtains, a wardrobe, a cupboard, a safe and has a fridge stocked with still and sparkling water. You can ask to see a plan showing the measurements, power and phone points.

Norton Suite This room is on the left-hand side of the lobby area just past the business centre and next to the accessible toilets. It has natural daylight with curtains, and is carpeted throughout. There is a fridge, phone, cupboard, wardrobe and safe in the room. The Castle Suite (Avon, Warwickshire Suite and Conservatory) The Castle Suite is made up of the Avon, Warwickshire Suite and the Conservatory. The main entrance to this suite is on the ground floor to the left of the main cocktail bar. The entrance takes you immediately into the Avon part of the suite. This room is carpeted throughout but part of the carpet can be removed to expose a wooden dance floor. The left hand side of the room s open into the Conservatory, which is used as a dance floor and then follows through into the Warwickshire Suite. The emergency fire exit doors are in the Conservatory, the Avon Suite and leading to the staff car park. Avon Suite (Hampton & Barford) We can divide the suite, using a sliding partition, into a further 2 rooms the Hampton and the Barford. The entrance to this suite is to the left of the main cocktail bar through double doors, which opens outwards. This room is carpeted but part of the carpet can be removed to expose a wooden dance floor. In the right hand corner, in the Barford part of the room, there is a bar with a high service counter, which we can cover with curtains if needed. There is direct access to the banqueting kitchen in the Barford side of the suite. The Barford has its own entrance up a carpeted corridor between the main cocktail bar and the main Avon door. The Avon Suite has an induction loop fitted. You can ask to see a plan showing the measurements, power and phone points. You can get to an extra 2 meeting rooms, the Arden and Loxley, from the Hampton side of the Avon Suite. Arden & Loxley The main access to these rooms is from the main lobby area. We can remove the sliding door partition if you need a larger area. Warwickshire Suite (Warwick and Shire) You get to the suite from the main Reception lobby, past the Living Well Health Club and into the bedroom corridor. Opposite room 115 turn right into the conference corridor and the main Warwickshire Suite is on the right hand side. The entrance has a double door, which opens outwards. We can divide the room, using a sliding partition, into 2 smaller rooms the Warwick and the Shire. The room is fully carpeted with a bar in the Shire side of the room.

Conference Lobby Area This area is just past the Warwickshire Suite and is used for coffee, tea and buffet style lunches for delegates using the Warwickshire Suite and the other four meeting rooms, which face onto this area. A carpeted corridor leads from the lobby to a further 4 meeting rooms Boardroom 1, Boardroom 2, the Hatton and the Henley. All these meeting rooms have natural daylight with curtains fitted, a phone, a wardrobe, cupboard, safe, LCD projector screen and flipchart, and a fridge stocked with still and sparkling water. This is a no smoking area. Toilet Facilities Toilets are on the right of the conference lobby area through a set of double doors. These are not accessible toilets. Accessible toilets are to the right of the reception desk. The Courtyard You can get to this area from the conference corridor, opposite the Warwickshire Suite. The double glass door opens into a brick, winding path with a landscaped area on either side. This is a smoking area as well as the conference corridor. This area has a wooden bench and is lit at night. It is accessible, if we provide help.
