Special Issue > February 2008 This document is a quick guide to what is new and what is different about Amadeus e- Travel Management s Single View The document can be used by Partners for internal communication with sales and business management teams. > Amadeus Single View February 2008

Product Spotlight Why Amadeus Single View? Amadeus Single View provides a solution to cover the following critical business issues 1. Travellers want to be able to book separate legs on return trips with different levels of flexibility. 2. Travellers want a fast booking process that does not require them to repeat a search again and again or to navigate back and forth from page to page. 3. Corporate travel managers want to be able to get the best fares by combining one-way fares when they are cheaper than return fares. Why Now? Due to increasing market and competitive pressure from low-cost carrier models, all airlines are trying to find new ways to structure their fares and to provide the best value in terms of price versus flexibility for the traveller. At the same time, the one-way fares model is more and more expected by corporate travellers who are used to booking online for their leisure needs. Corporate travellers often need to combine options with different levels of flexibility. In the past: > Most airlines were based on a return fare model (i.e. total price for one itinerary). Users had the choice between several classes (Eco, Business, First) and a few options (non modifiable, non refundable fares or flexible fares). > Most corporations were able to negotiate volume deals based on return fares. > Most standard airlines accept interlining. The ticket for the full itinerary is issued (in general) by the first airline. In the future: > Airlines will increasingly move to a one-way fare concept, where users are able to select a fare type for the outbound trip and another fare type for the return trip. > Thanks to the one-way model, users are going to book one airline out and a different airline back (or even different transport modes, such as air out and train back as with Eurostar in London).

Amadeus Single View - delivering on The Total Trip Experience for Corporate Travellers Over the next three years, by investing in a set of components to allow seamless integration of content data and systems whether Amadeus or third-party, Amadeus will provide a unique approach to Corporate Travel. Amadeus e-travel Management will evolve far beyond trip planning and reporting to a complete Traveller Care experience, providing the technology that spans before, during and after all the travel steps. Amadeus is already delivering on this vision version 11.0 released in October featured Amadeus Single View a whole new way to see and shop for flights.

Experience Amadeus Single View The new Amadeus Single View gives business travellers a revolutionary B2C (leisure) travel experience. Once activated it introduces a new type of Faredriven availability composed of several prices for each Air Segment New Fare Groups for even better price comparison The new fare groups show one way or return fares with different types of restrictions. The display is driven by a fare group rule that determines the type of price to display. The rules are fully configurable by the administrator so the corporation can define and name the fare group to match its travel policy. Not only does this result in a more user-friendly display but it also drives policy compliance. Even more flexibility and choice for travellers: Travellers can then combine different types of fares prices being shown for each leg of the trip - and different classes of service from a unique display, including low cost carrier flights all within the corporation s travel policy..

How it works - Fare Groups Clear easy to read displays Lowest Fare group prices are always highlighted in blue. Policy compliance is indicated with the familiar symbol While webfares are indicated with a Once Fare Groups are determined and rules applied to the user s search criteria (date/time/carriers etc.) availability requests are sent. Each data provider returns the results which are then re-grouped by Single View into the different display groups on the Single View Matrix. Outbound and Inbound flights are always displayed separately. Likewise the user always needs to select a roundtrip in two steps. First s/he selects the outbound option - then the applicable inbound options are proposed. Amadeus Single View is able to show one-way fares from all carriers because where the airline does not automatically show real one-way fares Amadeus technology automatically calculates the one-way equivalent to facilitate price comparison per leg of the trip. Single View has been especially designed to accommodate the dependency between certain types of fares (i.e.outbound and inbound legs of return fares) and therefore the Single View workflow and displays ensure that it is clear to the user which fares can be combined ( Preselected or selectable as illustrated below) and which cannot. Illustration of Combinable fares on Single View including rail options

Mixing fare types the Scandinavia example Amadeus Single View gives travellers in Scandinavia full flexibility and choice by allowing the combination of SAS Travel Pass Corporate fares and Malmo e-pass fares with other types of fares within the same trip. In a process seamless to the traveller, Amadeus e-travel Management splits the trip into 2 different reservations, to allow the combination. Travellers need only worry about choosing the option that best fits their schedules, whatever the type of fare. The Amadeus Single View shopping basket, combining SAS TPC with a standard SAS fare

Personalisation and Simplicity Personalisation and simplicity have become a must. With Amadeus Single View, travellers will be able to personalise their trip with the best technology ever. New Graphical filters Through graphical filters, users can adjust and get several fare groups displayed in such a comprehensive way that they can easily make the most suitable travel combination, always remaining compliant with the corporate travel policy. Travellers can narrow down the selection by time, price range, provider, origin or destination airport and the number of connections. New User-friendly Graphical Filters on Single View In addition, results can be sorted by each column in the matrix using the arrows

Setting up Amadeus Single View for your customers Available from release 11.0 of Amadeus e-travel Management (October 2007), Amadeus Single View can be activated by Amadeus e-travel Management Administrators. Once Single View is activated the Administrator can configure the Fare Groups using Fare Groups Rules which allow for rules to be created, modified and tested. The Administrator defines the type of fare and component that will be targeted within each fare group - for example Fare Groups can be defined based on Fare Type (Corporate, Published or Negotiated); Corporate Code, Special Programs (e.g. SAS Travel Pass) and Restrictions (e.g. Unrestricted or Lowest Applicable Fare). Fare groups can also take into account Fare Families already used by some carriers. Once the Fare Groups have been created the Administrator defines the applicability of the Fare Groups using the Fare Group Policy Rules i.e. the Administrator defines for what type of trip/trip reason each Fare Group can be used. Then, these rules, together with other pre-existing rules like Standard Air and Display rules ensure that search results can be shown as in-policy/out of policy or as supporting special programs, company preferences etc. as seen here Amadeus Single View for Air & Rail is being delivered in a phased approach across releases 11.0-12.1 of Amadeus e-travel Management.
