ADVERTISEMENT AIR INDIA CHARTERS LIMITED POSTS: (I) TRAINEE CO-PILOT AIR INDIA CHARTERS LIMITED invites applications for the above positions from Indian Citizens (where ever domiciled) to fill up vacancies and maintain a wait-list for future requirements for its airline Air India Express at different bases in the network, on Permanent/Contractual Employment. Number of Posts: 70 Reservation : As per Government Guidelines and will be based on post based roster as per the prevailing cadre strength. TR CO-PILOTS SC ST OBC GENERAL 10 5 18 37 No reservation is applicable for this post under the Persons with Disabilities Act, 1995. 1) ELIGIBILITYCRITERIA: a) TECHNICAL QUALIFICATION: Candidates should be in possession of: i. CPL with multi engine rating issued by Director General of Civil Aviation, Government of India. ii. Instrument Rating endorsement on Indian CPL iii. FRTO license issued by DGCA. iv. RTR (P) / RTR (C) / RTR issued by Ministry of Communication, WPC Wing, Government of India. v. All Licencesshall be valid at the time of joining. IR need not be current. vi. Current passport (if not available, proof of submission of application to be attached. Possession of passport mandatory at time of joining). 1 Page

UPPER AGE LIMIT : 40 Years (45 Years for SC/ST & 43 Years for OBC Candidates) b) MEDICAL FITNESS: Class-I Medical Fitness Certificate by DGCA, Government of India, which should be valid at the time of application & joining.(candidates must have done their last Medical/Renewal within preceding 6 months/1 year,as applicable). 2) PREFERENCE: Preference will be given to a) B737NG Type-Rated Pilots with minimum 500 hrs airline experience. 3) NATURE OF EMPLOYMENT: a) For the post of TRAINEE CO-PILOT Contractual Employment On successful completion of Training and once released on line flights, candidates will be appointed on fixed term contract basis for a period of five years, subject to other applicable company regulations. The job is transferable to any station in India as per operational requirement. 4) SELECTIONPROCEDURE: a) Psychometric Test. b) Written test in Aviation Subjects CPL LEVEL. c) Personal Interview. d) Candidates short-listed after Personal Interview will be required to undergo a Simulator Flight, Proficiency Test. e) Pre-Employment Medical Examination (Candidates below height 152.5 cms will not be eligible. Those candidates whose height ranges between 152.5 cms and 162.5 cms will be subjected to ergonomic evaluation in a Simulator.) Candidates will have to bear the cost of the Pre-Employment Medical Examination(s).Any additional tests, if required, the additional cost thereof will also have to be borne by the candidate 5) REMUNERATION: a) On appointment in AICL, the incumbent will be offered salary and perks commensurate as per industry standards b) Loss of Licenceand Accident Compensation,as per Company Policy. c) Group Family MedicalInsurance,as per Company Policy. d) Travel benefits and Passages for self and family as per Company Policy. 2 Page

6) UNDERTAKING/ SECURITYDEPOSIT: a) All the selected candidates will be issued with letter of intend. Such candidates have to undergo simulator type rating training of B737NG from a DGCA approved ATO and have to obtain B737 NG type rating issued by DGCA India within a period of 3 months from the date of letter of intent. They will be required to join the Company immediately on completion of necessary formalities and compliance of DGCA stipulations. b) Selected candidates would be required to submit 20 Post-Dated Chequesof Rs.40/- lakhs each as security Deposit towards further in house training. If s/he does not satisfactorily complete the training and does not complete a period of 05 years of service after release for line flying in Air India Express the said amount of Rs. 40/- lakhs will be encashed,,andwill have to execute an agreement/surety bond to this effect. Total Surety amount encashable is Rs.40 lakhs only. c) Selected candidates will also have to execute Performance Bond after completion of each subsequent training/endorsement (Such as Command trg, LTC,TRI) or training for a different type of airplane as required by the company., depending upon the training involved(as decided by Air India Express) a fresh Agreement will be executed. 7) TRAVELLING ALLOWANCE REIMBURSEMENT: Such of the candidates belonging to SC/ST Community, who are appearing for the Personal Interview, who are not in the employment of any Govt./Semi Govt./ Public Sector Undertaking or autonomous body, will be entitled to reimbursement of travel expenses by 2 nd class to and fro rail fare/surface transportation, for a distance of 80Kms(one-way) by the shortest route, on production of evidence to that effect. 8) GENERAL CONDITIONS: a) Based on requirements of the Company, the candidate may be positioned at any station in the network. b) The Company, at its discretion and requirement,, may assign additional ground duties, as and when required. c) Reservation and Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates will be made as per Government of India rules. d) Candidates must ensure that they fulfill all the Eligibility conditions and prescribed criteria and the particulars furnished by them in the application are correct in all respect. e) At any stage of the selection process in case it is detected that the particulars provided by the candidate in the Application Form or testimonials supplied are found to be incorrect/false or the candidate does not meet with any of the Eligibility Criteria prescribed for the post, or has suppressed any material fact(s),his/her application shall be treated as NOT ELIGIBLE and his /her candidature will stand rejected. 3 Page

Candidates using contact lenses will be required to bring a Certificate from an Ophthalmologist indicating there in the power of lenses as the same will be required while filling the Online Application Form. Candidates, who have undergone lasik surgery for correction of eyesight, will be required to bring a Certificate from an Ophthalmologist/supporting documents indicating therein the date on which, they have undergone the Lasik surgery as the same will be required while filling the Online Application Form.
