HISTORICAL BACKGROUND Attended the American High School in Manila; he graduated April 1, 1910. He was the first United States airman to fly the first inter-island flight ever made in the Hawaiian Islands in Mar. 15, 1918 He died on May 2, 1919 in a seaplane crash in the Miraflores Locks, Panama Canal Zone
