Tonight we will enjoy a group dinner together, as well as meet the Tour Host and the local guide. Accommodation: Your own room at Clarion Hotel The Hub in Oslo (4 star) Day 2 - Saturday 23rd November, 2019 OSLO Meet your tour escort for a tour of Oslo s city center (no entrance fees included). During the tour you will pass through some of Oslo s most popular sights such as the Royal castle, the City hall, the Parliament building (Stortinget) etc. Continue with a visit to the famous Vigeland sculpture park - the world s largest sculpture park made by a single artist. The unique sculpture park is Gustav Vigeland s lifework with more than 200 sculptures in bronze, granite and wrought iron. Accommodation: Your own room at Clarion Hotel The Hub in Oslo (4 star) Day 3 - Sunday 24th November, 2019 (B, L, D) OSLO BERGEN This morning begins early as you check out and transfer to the railway station to begin your first encounter with the majestic Norwegian fjords. The tour through the Sognefjord is a magnificent tour on the longest and deepest fjord in the world. Enjoy the spectacular scenery of cascading waterfalls, sheer mountain cliffs, snow clad peaks, and a variety of wildlife. Start by train Oslo-Myrdal followed by an exhilarating ride on the amazing Flåm railway from Myrdal to Flåm. In Flåm, there is 1 hour for you to explore the Flåm railway Museum on own before taking the express boat from Flåm to Bergen a peaceful tour on the Aurlandfjord and the Sognefjord. Arrive in Bergen in the evening and transfer to your hotel by private coach. Lunch and dinner box are included on this day. Accommodation: Your own room at Hotel Augustin in Bergen (3 star) Day 4 - Monday 25th November, 2019 BERGEN Today, join a walking tour of Bergen s historic centre which will include the Fish and Flower Markets, Old Bryggen Harbour and ancient Maria Chruch. After a short drive there will be a stop at Troldhaugen, the home of Norway s most famous composer Edvard Grieg. Troldhaugen consists of the Edvard Grieg Museum, Grieg s Villa, the hut where he composed music and his gravesite. Return to Bergen with the remainder of the day at leisure. At 4pm this evening the group will transfer to the pier to board the famous Hurtigruten ship for the Norwegian coastal voyage. Enjoy the relaxed ambiance of life on board and the spectacular winter landscapes. Day 6 - Wednesday 27th November, 2019 (B, L, D) NORWEGIAN COASTAL VOYAGE: FLORO - MOLDE Ports visited today: Florø, Måløy, Torvik, Ålesund, Molde. Navigate through skerries and islands before reaching the town renowned for its beautiful Art Nouveau architecture, Ålesund. 2C Art Nouveau Walk 2D Atlanterhavsparken Aquarium and Mount Aksla Day 7 - Thursday 28th November, 2019 (B, L, D) NORWEGIAN COASTAL VOYAGE: KRISTIANSUND - RORVIK Ports visited today: Kristiansund, Trondheim, Rørvik. Trondheim was Norway s first capital. The warehouses along the river built on wooden stilts are a colourful contrast to the pure white snow that usually covers the city during winter. 3B Trondheim with Nidaros Cathedral Day 8 - Friday 29th November, 2019 (B, L, D) NORWEGIAN COASTAL VOYAGE: BRONNOYSUND - SVOLVAER ARCTIC CIRCLE Ports visited today: Brønnøysund, Sandnessjøen, Nesna, Ørnes, Bodø, Stamsund, Svolvær. Cross the Arctic Circle, and the hunt for the spectacular Arctic light begins. This occasion is marked with an Arctic Circle baptism on deck. After a morning stop in Finnsnes, continue to Tromsø. Sail along the coast with a chance of seeing the Northern Lights. Gather on deck for a glimpse of this breathtaking phenomenon. 5A The Arctic Capital Tromsø, 5D Polar History Walk 5E/5F Wilderness Adventure Camp Day 10 - Sunday 1st December, 2019 (B, L, D) NORWEGIAN COASTAL VOYAGE: OKSFJORD BEVLEVAG Ports visited today: Øksfjord, Hammerfest, Havøysund, Honningsvåg, Kjøllefjord, Mehamn, Berlevåg. Honningsvåg is the nearest port to the North Cape. Pass a rock formation that is sacred to the Sámi people, Finnkirka, where we can enjoy a spectacular light display. 6A The North Cape, 6D Snowmobile Trip in Lapland Day 11 - Monday 2nd December, 2019 (B, D) NORWEGIAN COASTAL VOYAGE: LAPLAND BATSFJORD KIRKENES INARI SAARISELKA Ports visited today: Båtsfjord, Vardø, Vadsø and Kirkenes. The vistas and sea life become more dramatic as you approach Kirkenes, just a few kilometers from the Russian border and the Sami communities of Northern Finland. On arrival at the pier in Kirkenes we disembark the ship and continue by private coach for a short drive through Kirkenes, before continuing to Inari. Enroute we stop at the SIIDA Sami Museum, before continuing on to Saariselka (a Ski Resort in the Mountains) for check in before dinner. Tonight enjoy the unique experience of the glass roof cabin. After, we transfer to Rovaniemi for dinner and our hotel. After lunch we will experience a thrilling reindeer safari into the deep forest. The reindeer sleigh ride is a very old way to travel in Lapland. We will also visit a reindeer farm where we will meet the herders and feed the reindeers their favourite snacks. We arrive back into Rovaniem at 5pm. The lodge is surrounded by the beautiful rapids of River Raudanjoki.
