New Constitution and Bylaws In 2013, The OSU Alumni Association was formally merged into The Ohio State University. Archie Griffin, President of the Association, became a Vice President of the University for Alumni Affairs. As a result of the merger and a review of the sample constitution used by all Alumni Clubs by the Association, a revised sample constitution was forwarded to all local Alumni Clubs. Recently the Board revised our Club Constitution to bring it into compliance with the newest guidelines. The Board also began updating our Club Bylaws and we will also be changing our Club Ticket policy. If you renew your membership, you will also notice changes to the application forms. The Board has approved the revised Club Constitution and will be voting on the updated Club Bylaws in the near future. We will then ask for all Club members to approve both of the revised documents soon by email. Look for this email in the near future with additional information about the reasons for the changes. Once the membership approves the Constitution, we will be sending it to the Association for approval. Thank you for your continued support of our Club! GO BUCKS! TIME TO SEND IN MEMBER DUES. BUT, THIS YEAR: GET EXTRAS BACK! MEMBERS who pay their CY 2014 dues before August 1, 2014, get extra game watch raffle tickets when purchasing tickets and are entered in a drawing for 4 days/3 nights at a 5 bedroom/3 bath west shore Lake Tahoe home in a fall give-away! MEMBERS who get a NEW member to join, right up to day of the raffle at a fall game watch for the Lake Tahoe trip mentioned above, are BOTH entered to win, even if it s a 2nd entry on top of paying their dues early. See the back page for membership information.

Once again, local Buckeye dog lovers are joining together to participate in Doggy Dash the largest annual fund-raising event for the Sacramento SPCA! Other festivities will then take place in the park following the walk a great day for you and your pet!! More importantly, though, it s about people coming together to help raising the much-needed funds that allow the Sacramento SPCA to care for more than 11,000 animals in need each year.
