Facts & Highlights You are going to experience different attractions of Iran, with different climates, temperatures, cultures, people and customs. Day 2: Tehran city tour then Tehran/Yazd Explore Tehran with your expert tour guide before boarding an evening train to Yazd. Visit may include entrance and guided tours to the Sa d Abad Palace, the National Jewelry Museum, the Carpet Museum, the National Museum, and the Golestan Palace. Depending on the schedule, these highlights may be spread out over the entire time in Tehran, making some visits at the beginning of the trip and some at the end. Day 3: Yazd Tour the old town of Yazd, marveling at the unique towers that scatter the city. Visit the Jame Mosque, Amir Chakhmaq Complex, Zoroastrian Fire Temple, and the Towers of Silence burial grounds. The desert city of Yazd is known as the center of the Zoroastrian religion. Learn more about the fascinating customs of one of the world's oldest monotheistic religions and take in the unique architecture of this city. Day 4: Yazd/Zein-o-Din Caravanserai Free morning in Yazd. Drive with a private car for 1hour to the historic Zein-o-Din Caravanserai and overnight. It is an old inn dating back to the 17th century situated on the ancient Silk Road. At night experience the way of life of old Silk Road traders. Kerman was founded in the early third century and the city has historically played an important role on the Trans-Asian trade routes. Visit the Bathhouse Museum, converted into an anthropology museum, its interior is meticulously and beautifully decorated with different rooms for changing and offering different temperatures, all with intricate domed ceilings. Visit Bazar Kerman which is known for its fantastic mud brick. Another finest mud brick of the province is Bam that was completely destroyed in the 2003 earthquake. Rayen that in style and boasts is similar to the architectural elements of Bam. Day 6: Kerman Spend the day visiting highlights of Kerman. Visit the Shah Nematollah Vali Shrine and Shahzadeh or Prince Garden. Later, and the Rayen Citadel. The Nematollah Vali historical complex contains the mausoleum of Shah Nematollah Vali, on of Iran's revered mystics and poets. The shrine was built in 1436 and has since become a pilgrimage site. In a county known for its beautiful gardens, Shahzadeh Garden is a particular delight. It is a walled garden encompassing 5.5 hectares, and the residential building at one end looks out over fountains and manicured flora. Overnight Kerman Overnight Kerman 6

Day 8: Shiraz There is free time to explore the city's beautiful Regents mosque, Nasiralmolk mosque, Khan Madrasa, Eram garden, and perhaps even listen to some poetry being recited at the Hafez mausoleum. This vibrant student city is buzzing with life and is a great place to interact with some Iran's youth. You know that Shiraz is known as Iran's cultural capital, this city was home of two of Persia's most famous poets in the 13th and 14th centuries, Hafez and Saadi, whose mausoleums are found here. Enjoy a tour of the city's highlights, with visits to the Karim Khan Citadel and the Bazar-e Vakil to visit the mosque. Overnight Shiraz 8
Day 9: Shiraz/Isfahan By private car drive to Marvdasht to explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Persepolis. Visit the rock cut tombs at Naqsh-e-Rostam, the burial place of Darius the Great and his successors. Then drive to Pasargadae, visit the first city garden of the world and the ceremonial capital of Cyrus the great. Then visiting the mausoleum of Cyrus. We continue our way to Isfahan. Overnight Isfahan Day 10: Isfahan Tour the beautiful city of Isfahan, enjoying the famous square, mosques, and bartering at the bazaar. Hang out on the many bridges that make Isfahan unique, or shop for an authentic Persian rug. Wander the tree-lined boulevards of Isfahan, the jewel of ancient Persia. Overnight Isfahan 9
Day 11: Isfahan On a city tour, visit Imam Square and mosque, Sheikh Lotfallah Mosque, and Ali Qapu Palace. Wander the bazaar and learn the history of Isfahan's bridges. Stop in a miniatures shop and learn about this intricate art form before sampling some delicious Gaz, a candy famous in Isfahan. Overnight Isfahan 10
Day 12: Isfahan to Abyaneh Take a scenic drive through Natanz to the mountain village of Abyaneh to wander the narrow lanes of this mountain village. Observe locals in traditional dress and learn more about the simple way of life in this scenic spot. It is known for having retained its ancient charm. Enjoy a village walk to learn more. This beautiful mountain village has preserved its traditions, language and dress. Overnight Abyaneh Day 13: Abyaneh/Tehran En-route to Tehran (320km) to back in Tehran we visit Kashan. It is a beautiful city known for its Fin Garden that is one of the finest examples of these ancient Persian gardens. Check out the historic Persian style house here, Borujerdi, to learn more about the lifestyle of wealthy Persians in the mid-1800s and visit an 18th-century mosque, Agha Bozorg. 1. How big are the groups? Questions & Answers Each group is limited to 16 participants. Small groups are an important ingredient in adventure travel. Are these educational tours? Yes, in the broadest sense of the word, educational. We visit museums and local villages. We also have talks and discussions on many aspects of Iranian history and culture, but this is only one aspect of what we do. We believe that it is equally educational to meet new people on a non-commercial basis, visit their homes and even try to learn a few words in the native language. Sometimes the most educational moments are spent having a cold drink with locals in a street market. 15
5. How do we travel during the tour? All land transportation is included in the land price of the trip. We have our own vehicles for road travel we use a van or coach. 6. What are our accommodations like? We stay in comfortable, well located accommodations with private bathrooms throughout except at the Caravanserai, which has shared facilities. 7. What about the weather? Due to the extremes of topography in Iran, areas vary widely in temperature during the year. The best time to visit south of Iran is between September and April. The average high temperature in Tehran in October is 75 F (24 C) and lows of 64 F (12 C). The average high temperature in Tehran in April is 69 F (21 C) and lows of 48 F (9 C). We do travel to north west of Iran (Hidden Persia Tour) in Jun-Aug when due to high humidity and temperatures travel to south and plateau is difficult. 8. When is payment due? A non-refundable deposit of $500 or 300 GBP is due as soon as you decide to go and will reserve your place on the tour. The balance of the land payment is due 100 days before departure. Cancellation charges are applicable and these are outlined in the Terms & Conditions section of our brochure. 16
9. Is medical insurance required? For Insurance coverage money is added to the cost of your trip. Please note that medical insurance is not required for this adventure but is recommended.
