I have taught several courses in agricultural extension, social research methods, social statistics at both the undergraduate and the postgraduate level. Research has covered different areas particularly Evaluation Research, Diffusion and Adoption of agricultural innovations, Research Extension Linkages, Privatization, Training Needs Assessment, Extension Needs Assessment, the use of Information Communication Technology by farmers and extension personnel, and performance measurement of extension personnel in Egypt. I have supervised several Ph. D. and M. Sc. Students at the Department f Rural Sociology and Agricultural Extension, Assiut University, Egypt covering different areas. I planned and implemented different extension activities to serve the community in Assiut Governorate in Egypt and Al- Qassim Region in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Of particular importance, training programmes organized for extension personnel, and extension meetings for farmers in Assiut Governorate, Egypt, and Al-Qassim region in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. EMPLOYMENT AND EXPERIENCE RECORD: 1. During the last ten years I have taught several courses in agricultural extension, social research methods, social statistics, and nonparametric statistics at both the undergraduate and the postgraduate level at Assiut University, Egypt. I have carried out different research studies covering different areas, particularly: spatial diffusion of agricultural innovations, privatization of agricultural extension training needs assessment, extension needs assessment, use of information technology by farmers and extension personnel, agricultural sustainability, and performance measurement of extension personnel. I have been supervising several Ph. D. and M. Sc. Students at the Department of Rural Sociology and Agricultural Extension, Assiut University, Egypt. 2. From December 1996 T0 December 2002 Head of the Department of Rural Sociology and Agricultural Extension, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Assiut, Egypt. During that period and the following years I have:
