Last month wasn t much better with 20. Bernie Rasmussen was our birthday winner today. He told me how old he will be on his birthday and I must say he doesn t look or act his age. I m not saying how old that might be, that s up to him to disclose but I think he is amazing. I also heard that his birthday and Ray and Elma s anniversary is on the same day. Ray and Elma will be celebrating 61 years this year. The 50/50 was won by Bob Wood this morning and the scratch-off winners were Bob Wood, Mary Walker, Caroline Thies, Bernie Rasmussen and Ray Taylor. We had a new face, who was also a member of the Retreads in the past, Tom Salak from Bainbridge. He is thinking of getting back into riding and is currently looking at some bikes. Ted and I met him when he was part of the harmonica band, and Ray and Elma also know him. Let s all welcome him back into riding again and joining our group. Ray & I went out and checked the Inn out and talked with the hostess and it looks like a great place to stay & ride. We will be going to the Gray Ghost Inn, in West Dover, VT. The rooms are $99 DBL per night with breakfast included. They will do a welcome reception when we arrive, they also have multiple routes to ride- from 90 miles to 200. The parking is flat, also have a hot tub, as well as a pool. There are restaurants nearby, a short walk or take your bike. We might have a dinner set up at the Inn, but still are working on that. The riding in this area is beautiful. Their website is www.grayghostinn.com- so check it out, and get your room reserved. When you call mention your with the Retreads.
