Within a radius of 60 km from San Candido, the Dolomites play host to some very exciting snow sports. 12 World Cup within 60 km: suspense is assured. The air crackles with tension and excitement. 13 The Leitlhof was among the trailblazers in South Tyrol with regard to climate protection. This initiative and other measures are all aimed at conserving our extraordinary natural surroundings. The owners of the Leitlhof have been dedicated to protection of the environment and to sustainability for many years. They were among the first to take the opportunity to offer holidays that do not impact on the climate. The greatest sources of CO 2 emissions in a hotel are electricity, heating, and laundry services. In addition to reducing these emissions, the Leitlhof also takes other measures to help protect the climate: the hotel s thermal energy system produces heat and electricity with wood from its own forests. When selecting craftsmen or products for the hotel, we prefer to use local suppliers, both to avoid long journeys and to generate wealth in our community. We grow our own herbs and vegetables and rear our own sheep on the Mühlhof family farm. The Hotel Leitlhof practises strict waste separation, in order to recycle as much as possible. All our detergents are environmentally friendly. The entire company culture is based on principles that protect the environment. Much more than a machine How is energy produced from wood? What s the best way to run a thermal energy system? The expert for such questions is Stephan, the junior proprietor of the Leitlhof. The thermal energy system is his responsibility, and he knows it better than anyone else. Guests who are interested can visit his kingdom, and it often amazes them: for example, did you know that with this system CO 2 emissions have been reduced from 80 kg per guest per night to only 12 kg? 120 KG OF CO 2 EMISSIONS PER GUEST PER NIGHT (compared to: 120 kg in similar hotels)

AN OVERVIEW OF SERVICES Fine food and dining Our Dolomiti half board solution includes a generous breakfast buffet with fresh local products and an afternoon snack between 3.00 and 5.00 p.m. with freshly baked pastries and energy snacks. Our restaurant is open for lunch between 12 noon and 1 p.m. In the evening you can enjoy a 5-course gourmet dinner of your choice, prepared with high-quality local ingredients, plus a vitamin-rich vegetable and salad buffet. We strongly advise you to take out cancellation insurance. Parking Free parking in our covered garage. The world of children Younger guests can have fun in our kids room. During the holiday period, children aged 3 upward can be looked after between 7.30 pm. and 10 p.m. by our activity leaders. Spa The wellness zone at the Leitlhof covers 2,000 m², and includes an area for adults only. Guests may also make use of the wellness facilities on their day of departure. Start your journey into our world of wellness by putting on the soft bathrobe and slippers provided in the spa bag in your room. Towels for the sauna and swimming-pool are available by the salt bath, the Turkish bath, and the Finnish and herbal saunas. Eight times a week, we invite you to enjoy our aromatic sauna infusions in our saunas in birch and pine-wood huts in the garden. With an extra payment, you can also use our hay steam bath. Fresh fruit, herbal teas and fruit juices will boost your energy after using the sauna, the emotional showers or the Kneipp path. We promote green holidays because we want to respect and conserve the extraordinary natural landscape of South Tyrol. How do we do that? Among other things, we offer a free shuttle service for our guests, an electric car charging station, and a free Holidaypass, allowing you to use all public transport in South Tyrol. But our most important contribution is our wood-fuelled thermal energy system, which has enabled us to reduce CO 2 emissions per guest from 85.5 kg to approx. 12 kg.
