With car show season just around the corner, here are a few items to check before you head out for a great day: 1. Check your Fuel lines rubber fuel lines tend to fail after 6 months. Visually inspect for splitting, cracking and dried out areas. 2. Check your Tires check your pressure, and look for cracking and separation 3. Check your fluids If the car has been sitting for the winter, make sure you check your coolant, brake and transmission fluids. 4. Weather Proofing since we are still getting rain, make sure your Weather stripping, door seals and trunk seals are still in good condition. If you have any questions or need further information on these points, please reach out to me and I will gladly assist. See you at the meeting! David Schurtz

Nor-Cal ChevelleCaminos Minutes of the meeting Feb. 14, 2015 The meeting of Nor-Cal ChevelleCaminos was called to order at 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at F.H. Dailey Chevrolet, 800 Davis Street, San Leandro, CA 94577. Snacks provided by F.H. Dailey Chevrolet and club members. After the meeting, we will be driving to the Shin House in Fremont for our annual event-planning meeting. Call to Order: David Schurtz called the meeting to order at 10 a.m. The sign in sheet was passed around. The members present introduced themselves stating where they were from, what kind of vehicle they had and mentioned their role with the club. Treasury Report: Cindy Crusco was absent. Mike Crusco presented the treasury report. In December, our club had $190.00. We picked up three new members. We had to pay our insurance leaving us with a balance of $98.43. Renewals are due by June 1 2015. We are pushing for early renewals. We are discussing ideas for generating new money sources for our club. Merchandising Report: Mike Crusco informed us that we could bring our own items of clothing to have embroidered with our club logo. We need a total of 6 items that are the same size to get best deal. At our April meeting, please bring your items to have embroidered. Katie will send out an email reminder prior to April s meeting. Old Business: The minutes from our January 10 meeting were reviewed and approved. They were seconded by Joannie. New Business: At the Shin House, the vent calendar needs to be one page of club only events. Ideally, we will have two events per month besides our regular club meetings. There were ideas created to help generate more money for our club. We could take out $20.00 from petty cash and break it down to two tens. We will ask members to donate as little as $1.00 to $10.00 to add to a 50/50 fund. Each person who donates receives one raffle ticket. No one has to contribute if they do not want to. Ideally, for the RTTC the smaller individual donations (like baseball hats and tee shirts) can be consolidated to become one gift or saved for raffles for our meetings. Donations for the RTTC start March 2015. Please bring your items to our meetings. Upcoming Events: Joannie reported that the GTO Club want to join us at the April 18 Devil s Slide Cruise. Joannie will let us know if the GTO and Camaro Club are joining us at the Benicia Car Show. Dave and Kimberly Culbertson introduced the Saturday March 7 East Bay Ford F-100 Artichoke Run. It is set as a club event. We will meet at Fry s in Fremont at 9:00am. The long running Santa Rosa Show has been permanently discontinued. Tech Time: Our new member Harry Johnson posed a question about adding rear speakers without gutting his car. He has an original all stock 1971 Chevy Chevelle convertible. Joannie suggested that he could put wells in the armrest in the backseat and keep it flush. Possibly look into 4 x6 standing speakers. Club Raffle: There was no raffle today. Our committee adjourned at 10:30AM. Respectfully, Melissa Belfay Secretary
