Commercial Burglaries: Date/Time Address (block range) Method of Entry /Suspect Information 06/12/2018 1:21am 23000 Lahser Rd. (Pharmacy) Broke out glass on front entry door and interior pharmacy door. Southfield Officers were dispatched to a breaking and entering alarm at Pharmacy in the 23000 Block of Lahser Rd. Alarm company advised interior video showed 4- B/M suspects in the pharmacy area. Suspects fled the store before officer s arrival. Entry gained by breaking glass on front entry door and glass pharmacy doors. A safe with narcotics was attacked but not opened. Home Invasion: Date/Time Address (block range) Method of Entry /Suspect Information 06/12/2018 5:38pm 28000 Franklin Rd. (Residential- Apartments) Unlocked door. Officers were dispatched to Apartment Complex in the 28000 Block of Franklin Rd on report of a Home Invasion that just occurred. The R/P stated the suspect entered the apartment through an unlocked door. Upon arrival, the victim informed the Officers that the suspect was a neighbor and she captured the incident on video. Officers reviewed the video and located the suspect. The neighbor next door matched the description of suspect in the video and he was placed under arrest for Home Invasion. The suspect was lodged in the Southfield Jail. 06/12/2018 6:30pm- 10:00pm 21000 Colony Park (Residential- Apartments) Screen was removed on bedroom window and the unlocked window was slid open. Unknown suspects broke into apartment via a bedroom window. Stolen were Firearms, TV s Misc. Jewelry and a Gaming System. The scene was processed by a Southfield Police Evidence Technician.

Victim states sometime between 6:00am- 5:00pm someone broke into victim s apartment in the 28000 Block of Willow Ct. Maintenance had already repaired the damage to victim s apartment door. Nothing mentioned about anything missing. No suspect info at this time. (Gas Station) S - Stolen Manufacturer BUICK Color Vehicle Year 2000 Body Style State MI 2000 BUICK LESABRE SILVER IN COLOR Victim was at the Gas Station in the 20000 Block of Eight Mile Rd. At approx. 7:07am victim exited his vehicle leaving the keys in his car. When he returned he saw the vehicle being driven away by an unknown male. Victim stated that he had several sets of used golf clubs inside of his vehicle, which he planned on donating. No suspect Information available.

(Residential- Apartments) S - Stolen Manufacturer FORD Model F250 Serial No. License No. Color WHI - White Vehicle Year 2004 Body Style PK - Pickup Truck State MI License Year 2019 White 2004 Ford F250 Notes Landscape and Snowplowing signs on the side. R/P works for Landscaping Company. R/P stated he was working at Apartment Complex in the 28000 Block of Franklin Rd. on 06/13/2018 @ 5:00pm. R/P stated he had parked the landscaping truck with a trailer near a wall and was mowing the lawn on the other side a building. R/P stated when he went back to the truck, it was gone. This was around 5:20pm and he entered the complex at 5:00pm with two other trucks and multiple workers. R/P stated he left the keys to the truck in it. Three riding mowers, three leaf blowers, three weed whackers, one edger and one cell phone were inside the trailer. The truck and trailer were not entered into LEIN at this time because R/P didn t have any paperwork for the vehicle. Vehicle is described as a White 2004 Ford F250 with " Landscaping and Snowplowing" on the side with a white trailer.

From: 06/11/2018 1:00pm To: 06/12/2018 11:00pm 19000 Coral Gables St. S - Stolen Manufacturer CADILLAC Model ESCALADE Color BLK - Black Vehicle Year 2016 Body Style State MI License Year 2018 2016 CADILLAC ESCALADE BLACK Victim states that his 2016 Cadillac Escalade was stolen from the 19000 Block of Coral Gables sometime yesterday evening. Victim thinks that his ex-girlfriend, might have taken the extra key for vehicle when they broke up several months ago and she may have taken the truck. She does not have permission to use or take the vehicle. The girlfriend has been identified at this time. 06/16/2018 11:37pm Telegraph Rd. & W Twelve Mile Rd. RS Recovered Stolen Manufacturer TOYOTA Model SIENNA Vehicle Year 1999 Body Style State MI Officers were on routine patrol and ran license plate on vehicle that came back stolen out of Detroit. The vehicle was stopped w/o incident and the driver of the vehicle was arrested for DWLS. The vehicle was recovered and DPD was notified. Officers contacted the owner of the vehicle. After speaking with the owner, it was decided that the driver of the vehicle will not be charged for Auto Theft or R&C at this time.

06/12/2018 4:22pm Dorset St. & Magnolia Pkwy RS Recovered Stolen Manufacturer FORD Model Rental Agency Color ONG - Orange Vehicle Year 2009 RENTAL TRUCK The vehicle was reported stolen out of Detroit. DPD was contacted and advised to impound the vehicle. It was entered as a Felony vehicle. Vehicle was impounded. The resident in the 19000 Block of Dorset stated his boss had rented the vehicle and told him the vehicle wasn t due back until 5:00pm this date. Incident is under investigation. Tips: Never leave your vehicle running unattended Park in areas where your vehicle is viewable if possible Use commercially available security devices

(Residential- Condo s) S - Stolen Manufacturer Taylor Made Golf Club Set Victim states sometime between 9:00pm and 3:30pm someone made entry into his vehicle (Black, 2016 Kia Sportage), parked outside the garage at his residence, rifled through the vehicle, and stole his set of golf clubs. From: 06/11/2018 8:30pm To: 06/12/2018 5:30am 25000 Saint James (Residential- Condo s) Laptop Computer was taken from bookbag that was in vehicle. Victim states that he parked his car last night at around 8:30pm. 06/12/2018 5:52pm 25000 W Twelve Mile (Theater) S - Stolen License Plate Tab Only Victim doesn t remember when she last saw her license plate tab on her 2013 Gold Chevrolet Equinox. She noticed it missing on 06/09/2018 at approx. 3:00pm. The tab was not entered as stolen at this time because she still has the actual license plate. Victim did get the tab replaced. From: 06/12/2018 1:00am To: 06/12/2018 7:00am 25000 Lahser Rd. (Nursing Home) An undisclosed amount of cash was taken from victim s lanyard. Victim states sometime between 1:00am- 7:00am, while she was sleeping, someone stole an undisclosed amount of cash from her lanyard that was around her neck. Victim suspects one of the workers at the Nursing Home. From: 06/12/2018 9:00am To: 06/12/2018 8:30pm 15000 Providence Dr. (Residential- Apartments) One of victim s prescription pills was taken. Victim has an assisted living home services provider come to her residence daily to assist her through daily activities. Victim advised that the assisted living employee who typically cares for her was away on company training, so the company sent another employee. Shortly after this employee left for the day victim discovered that one of her Prescription Pills (pain killer) was missing.

Victim stated he had priority mail delivered to his residence on 06/15/2018 at 12:00pm. When he received the mail directly from the mail carrier, there was a hole in the seal of the package. Victim inspected the package and discovered that his social security card was not inside. Someone had taken victims Social Security Card. 06/15/2018 3:00pm 20000 W Eight Mile Rd. (Shopping Plaza) S - Stolen PURSE Notes Contents: Cash, Driver s License, Credit Cards, SS Card, Eyeglasses. Victim states on Friday June 15, 2018 her purse was stolen out of her shopping cart while she was loading her groceries into her vehicle. There were numerous people in and out of the room during the party. No suspect(s) Tips: Ensure your vehicle is locked at all times and valuables are out of sight. Thieves wait for the right time and will move quickly Even if playing sports at a park ensure your vehicle is locked

(Residential- Condo) S - Stolen Manufacturer MITSUBISHI Model OUTLANDER Color BLK - Black Vehicle Year 2011 Body Style SW - Station Wagon State MI License Year 2019 2011 Black Mitsubishi Outlander Notes Vehicle Contained Work Tools and a C-Pac Machine. Victim reports on 06/11/2018 between 2:45am and 3:00am he was leaving the area of the 24000 Block of Cashmere St. As he was leaving, there was a vehicle stopped in the middle of the road. He blew his horn to get past the vehicle and a male appeared at his driver's door. The suspect pointed a gun at him and told him to get out of the car. Victim exited his vehicle and the suspect got inside. Both vehicles then drove away. Victim reports his house key was on the key chain and an item in the vehicle had his home address on it. SUSPECTS: Suspect #1: early 20's, b/m, medium complexion, 5'-7-5'-8, and thin. He was wearing a gray hat, Multi- color t-shirt, and jeans. He was the one with the gun. Suspect #2: Victim was not able to give a description. He was driving a Dark Blue Vehicle. STOLEN VEHICLE: 2011 Black Mitsubishi Outlander Inside the vehicle was his work tools and C-Pac machine. Be on the Look Out Highlights: Special Attention: Fleeing & Eluding 06/16/2018 12:17am 8 Mile Rd & Stahelin Southfield Officers attempted to initiate a stop for a traffic violation at 8 Mile Rd & Stahelin. The driver failed to stop and a vehicle pursuit ensued. Officer attempted to end the pursuit with a PIT Maneuver but was unsuccessful. The vehicle continued to flee eastbound on West Eight Mile and the pursuit was terminated as it approached Greenfield Road. Suspect Vehicle: A Black Dodge Charger R/T, with a Red Temp Tag in the back window. A blue baseball hat was sitting on the rear window-sill near the temp tag. The vehicle was occupied by two black males. No further description. Arrests by SPD Officers: OWI- 1- Arrest 06/17/2018 12:30am Greenfield Rd. & E/B I-696 Southfield Officers initiated a stop for a traffic violation at Greenfield Rd & E/B I-696. The officers spoke with the driver of the vehicle and suspected that he was intoxicated. An OWI investigation was conducted and the subject was placed under arrest for OWI. OWI II- 1- Arrest 06/17/2018 1:13am 12 Mile Rd. & Telegraph Rd. Southfield Officers were dispatched to location on a report of a possible intoxicated driver. Upon arrival, Officer s located the vehicle and spoke with the driver. An OWI investigation was conducted and the subject was placed under arrest for OWI II.

Special Attention: LFA s Location: Condo s 2- LFA s occurred last week at the Condo Complex, in the 20000 Block of Rodeo Ct. & the 25000 Block of St. James between Tuesday night 06/11/2018 8:30pm and Wednesday morning 06/12/2018 @ 5:30am. Two vehicles that were parked outside their garages were attacked. Golf Clubs were taken from one vehicle and a Laptop was taken from a second vehicle. 20000 Rodeo Ct. 25000 Block of St. James PWID Marijuana- 2- Arrest 06/12/2018 5:06pm 23000 Block of Telegraph Rd. Southfield Officers were dispatched to the 23000 Block of Telegraph Rd on a report of suspicious vehicles possibly involved in the sale of narcotics. Upon arrival, the officers located the vehicles and suspects and conducted a narcotics investigation. The Officers investigation led to the discovery of several pounds of suspected marijuana. Two adult males were arrested for PWID Marijuana and were lodged in the Southfield Jail.

Special Attention: Larceny from Vehicles How to prevent this from happening to you! -Citizens should never leave anything of value inside their vehicle. (Especially Handguns, Purses, Wallets, Cash & Cell Phones!) - If you have a garage you should park your vehicle in the garage and lock the garage. - Wheel Locks are a deterrent but don t leave the wheel lock key in the interior of your vehicle, especially the center console or glove box. This is the first place they will look for the wheel lock. -After parking your vehicle turn your wheels all the way to the right or the left. This will make it difficult to get the lug nuts off the front wheels. Animal Cruelty- 1- Ordinance Violation was issued. 06/13/2018 2:29pm 26000 Block of Lahser Rd. Southfield Animal Control Officer and Southfield Officer responded to call from citizen concerning a dog locked in a vehicle and appeared to be in distress because of the heat. Officers located the vehicle with a small brown Chihuahua panting and in distress. There was no source of water in the vehicle. ACO Officer used a laser thermometer to measure the internal temp of the vehicle with readings of 114, 112, 112. Outside temp 85 with high humidity. The dog was curled up in a fetal position on the floorboard of the vehicle, panting. Several attempts were made to locate owner but the owner wasn t located. Officers unlocked the vehicle successfully and removed the dog and took a body skin temp of 101. The dog was placed in the airconditioned compartment of ACO Officers truck and given some fresh water. The owners showed up shortly after this. The owner of the dog was issued Ordinance violation for Animal Cruelty. -If you don t have a garage, try to park your vehicle as close to your residence as possible. -If you here any loud noises near where your vehicle is parked, especially during the late night or early morning hours, attempt to look outside without alerting anyone and if someone is tampering with your vehicle immediately call 911, (Do Not Approach or Scare the Suspects Away) give Police Dispatchers

Stay on the phone with Dispatchers until the Police arrive. -Lots of lighting around the area(s) that you park your vehicles is also very beneficial. Criminals don t like to work in well lighted areas. They prefer to work in darkness because it s difficult to see them. Domestic F/A - 1- Arrest 06/11/2018 2:19pm 26000 Block of Central Park Blvd. (Hotel) Southfield Officers responded to Hotel Room at Hotel in the 26000 Block of Central Park Blvd to investigate Domestic F/A with a knife in progress. Officers arrived on scene, located the two combatants and secured the knife that was allegedly used during the assault. Male half (victim) stated he and his wife got into a verbal argument. At some point during the argument his wife got a knife and threatened to kill him. She poked and punched him in the neck and face with the knife as he sat down to watch tv. Victim states his wife got more aggressive and swung the knife at him cutting him on his leg. A Southfield Police Evidence Technician was on scene and took custody of the knife and took pictures of victim s injuries. The female suspect was taken into custody for Domestic F/A.

Special Attention: Larceny of Packages that were ordered and delivered via Common Carrier. How to prevent this from happening to you! Recently several citizens have had packages that were delivered to their residences and apartments stolen prior to them retrieving the packages. Citizens can prevent this from happening by scheduling a specific time to have the package delivered and be waiting for the package. Citizen can also schedule the package to be picked up by themselves at the common carrier facility. Possession of Crack Cocaine/ Operate under the Influence of Drugs/ Possession of Firearm While Under the Influence of Drugs. 1- Arrest 06/15/2018 6:41pm 24000 Block of Southfield Rd. Southfield Officers were dispatched to a 3- Car, Injury Accident at 10 Mile Rd. & Southfield Rd. After arriving on scene one of the drivers was found still behind the wheel of his vehicle unresponsive. The driver eventually woke up. He was disoriented and had a slurred speech. The driver had a CPL and was in possession of a handgun. Officers confiscated the handgun from the driver because he was suspected of being under the influence of drugs. Suspected Crack Cocaine was recovered from the vehicle and Field Tested by a Southfield Police Evidence Technician. The result was positive for possible presence of cocaine. A search warrant was obtained and a blood draw was taken from the driver. The driver was arrested for OUIN/ Poss. of a Handgun While Under the Influence of Drugs & Possession of Crack Cocaine.
