The meeting will be held Thursday night, May 10, 2012 beginning at 7:00 pm in the Jackson Memorial Building (JMB) of Trinity United Methodist Church in Salisbury (Directions - Take Business US Rt 50 to downtown Salisbury - turn north (away from downtown) on North Division Street - the JMB is the first building on your right with parking across North Division Street). We look forward to sharing the details about our Luxury Rhine River Cruise at our upcoming meeting and having you join us on this cruise in April 2013. ******* Now Accepting Registrations for Luxury Rhine River Cruise and Tour 2013 April 17-27, 2013 on AmaWaterways MS AmaCello As we discussed in our March 2012 Newsletter, I am pleased to announce that we have finalized the arrangements for our 10-Day Luxury Rhine River Cruise and Tour sailing from Basel, Switzerland to Amsterdam, Netherlands with a pre-cruise stay in Zurich, Switzerland and one night post-cruise in Amsterdam, set to depart on Wednesday, April 17, 2013. Since last month, we have arranged special air fare with AmaWaterways for those who register for this cruise by May 15, 2012, so please consider submitting your registration as soon as possible to lock in the best price possible for this cruise and tour. Preliminary interest has been very strong for this cruise, and most indicated that they would enjoy a pre-cruise and/or post-cruise extension if possible. Therefore, our final itinerary has us flying from Philadelphia to Zurich, Switzerland on Wednesday, April 17, 2013. We will spend Thursday in Zurich at a 4-star hotel downtown and depart Friday morning from Zurich for a scenic tour of Switzerland, by way of Lucerne, on our way to meet the ship in Basel, Switzerland. We should arrive in Basel with plenty of time to board the MS AmaCello, take a leisurely stroll around Basel, and return to the ship in time for

the Gala Welcome Aboard Cocktail Party and Dinner. During our cruise, we will visit Colmar and Strasbourg, France, the Black Forest region of Germany including the cities of Speyer, Rudesheim, Koblenz and Cologne, with an optional excursion to Heidelberg, as well as Amsterdam, Netherlands. After we disembark the cruise on Friday, we have arranged a tour of the world-famous Keukenhof Gardens, which should be a special treat since we are visiting during the peak of the tulip season. We will then spend one last night in Amsterdam before flying home on Saturday, April 27, 2013. Luxury in Every Sense - European River Cruising with AmaWaterways is a first class experience and includes everything you need to enjoy our 10-days exploring Europe. Unlike ocean cruising, our vessel has only 75 staterooms and accommodates a maximum of 148 passengers. The 41 crew members on board provide incredible personal service, from the Captain on down. Meals are exceptional and free-flowing local wine and beer is included with all dinners at no extra charge. Throughout the day and evening, specialty coffees are also available in the lounge. Each day, AmaWaterways provides guided tours of each port, tailored to fit your own walking pace, and also allows ample time to explore on your own by foot or using one of their bicycles available onboard. And since the ship typically docks right in the center of town, it s easy to come and go as you please. There are also bicycle tours offered in a few ports for those who prefer a bit more physical activity. Each night, local entertainers are brought on board for an incredible evening performance following dinner. The cabins are quite comfortable (in fact Tracy wanted to bring our mattress home with us) and well-appointed with a flat panel TV, free Internet service, robes and slippers, and daily bottled water to take with you on the tours. And the Sun Deck provides stunning 360-degree views of the sites we will be passing along the Rhine, dotted with castles around just about every bend. AmaWaterways has built a reputation as a leader in river cruising, with state-of-the-art vessels sailing Europe, Russia, Southeast Asia and Africa. There are several Points of Distinction that AmaWaterways provides to enhance your experience. On every AmaWaterways cruise, passengers enjoy a collection of unforgettable experiences enhanced by the line s exceptional staff, gold-medal cuisine, themed excursions and special onboard amenities. The MS AmaCello offers innovative design and extensive amenities. Among them are staterooms and suites that are among the largest in the river cruising industry; French balconies; a workout room; sauna; a whirlpool; and a beauty salon and spa. Multiple onboard dining venues serve gourmet meals prepared with the finest fresh ingredients, accompanied by free-flowing complimentary wine, beer and soft drinks at dinner, champagne with breakfast and specialty coffees throughout the day. The MS AmaCello, along with all of AmaWaterways ships in Europe, is a member of the prestigious Chaîne des Rôtisseurs gastronomic society. On the MS AmaCello, we will be treated to exceptional service from an attentive crew, highly trained cruise manager and an experienced captain. Our 10-Day Luxury Rhine River Cruise and Tour promises to be an unforgettable and cherished vacation experience. Exceptional Itinerary - AmaWaterways has lined up an exceptional itinerary for this cruise. Furthermore, we have enhanced the itinerary with a pre-cruise stay in Zurich and scenic tour of Switzerland on our way to meet the ship in Basel and a post-cruise stay in Amsterdam and spectacular tour of Keukenhof Gardens during the peak of tulip season. The detailed itinerary for our 10-Day Luxury Rhine River Cruise and Tour is as follows: Wednesday, April 17, 2013 - Fly from Philadelphia to Zurich Meet our motorcoach in Salisbury or Ocean Pines as we travel to Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) for our flight to Zurich, Switzerland.

Thursday, April 18, 2013 - Zurich, Switzerland- Pre-Cruise Our motorcoach and guide will meet us at the airport in Zurich and provide us with a short tour of the highlights of Zurich as we travel to our downtown hotel. After settling into the hotel, you will be free to explore Zurich on your own. Salisbury Cruise Club will provide suggestions on some of the attractions you may wish to visit in Zurich as well as a selection of restaurants where you may choose to enjoy dinner. Friday, April 19, 2013 - Scenic Tour of Switzerland and Embarkation in Basel Board our motorcoach at the hotel for a scenic tour of Switzerland on our way to meet the ship in Basel. We will travel through the city of Lucerne, Switzerland, a medieval gem situated on Lake Lucerne famous for it s cobblestone streets, monuments, fountain-embellished public squares, covered bridges and colorful frescoed buildings. We plan to arrive in Basel, Switzerland around 12 noon to embark our luxurious river cruise ship. This will provide us ample opportunity to enjoy a walk around Basel before we must return to the ship later in the afternoon. Switzerland s second largest city is ideally located at the crossroads of Switzerland, France and Germany. Long an important university, banking and trade center, Basel s glorious past is still evident in its medieval Town Hall and exquisite 18th-century patrician homes. We will return to the ship in time to freshen up for our cocktail party and Gala Welcome Dinner on board the MS AmaCello. Saturday, April 20, 2013 - Breisach Colmar, France Today, choose between a city tour of Colmar, France or a tour through the famous Black Forest region of Germany. On the Black Forest tour, enjoy a drive through a scenic forested area where you will encounter a number of lakes as well as charming examples of rural architecture. Your tour will include a stop at a cuckoo clock factory. As an alternative, choose to travel to medieval Colmar, situated along the Alsatian Wine Route and the self-proclaimed Capital of Alsatian Wine. During your city tour, you will see remarkable half-timbered framed houses; the German influenced old quarter filled with streets of unexpected twists and turns; canals and the Launch River. You will also enjoy a wine cellar visit and wine tasting, where you will enjoy several different wines, presented along with bread, knowledgeable hosts, and plenty of laughter. Sunday, April 21, 2013 - Strasbourg, France Capital and principal city of the Alsace region in northeastern France, Strasbourg, France is situated on the Ill River, where it flows into the Rhine on the border with Germany. Enjoy a canal cruise of this picturesque town, known for its black and white timber-framed buildings, covered bridges and medieval watchtowers. Then take a walking tour through this charming town lined with narrow cobbled streets. See the European Parliament and visit the La Petite France district, where you will see the sandstone Gothic Cathedral with its famous astronomical clock. The remainder of the day is at your leisure. In the afternoon, a guided bicycle tour (capacity controlled) will take you past the Orangery, the town s oldest park, the European Parliament, and Place de la Republique. Monday, April 22, 2013 - Speyer Heidelberg, Germany This afternoon, we arrive in Speyer, one of Germany s oldest cities, known for the Speyer Cathedral, many churches and the Altpörtel (old gate) with a 13th-century gate tower. Choose either a city tour of medieval Speyer or half day excursion to Heidelberg, Germany (additional cost), where you will visit the red-walled Castle, with its Great Vat, a 49,000-gallon 18th-century wine cask, and beautiful views of the Neckar Valley and Heidelberg below. As an alternative, a guided bike tour is also available in Speyer (capacity controlled).

Tuesday, April 23, 2013 - Rüdesheim Koblenz After breakfast, we will arrive in Rüdesheim, Germany and visit Siegfried's Mechanical Musical Instrument Museum. This historic museum houses one of the greatest collections of robotic and self-playing musical instruments from the 18th to 20th centuries. Afterwards, we will enjoy a wine tasting at a local winery. Explore the Drosselgasse, a narrow alley lined with wine taverns and restaurants during our free time. This afternoon, we will cruise through the Rhine Gorge, the most beautiful stretch of the river, passing castle after castle. Later in the afternoon, we will arrive in 2,000-year-old Koblenz, Germany, located on the confluence of the Rhine and Mosel rivers. After dinner, our Cruise Manager will lead a walk through this charming town. Wednesday, April 24, 2013 - Cologne We will arrive in Cologne, Germany this morning, where we will enjoy a walking tour of Old Town and Cathedral Square. We will visit the spectacular 13th-century Gothic cathedral whose twin spires are amongst the tallest in Europe. Afterwards, we will have free time to linger in the cathedral, browse the many nearby shops or perhaps enjoy a glass of Kölsch, Cologne s famous beer. Thursday, April 25, 2013 - Amsterdam, Holland After breakfast, our tour of Amsterdam, The Netherlands begins with a scenic canal cruise through the city known as the Venice of the North. We will see the beautiful homes that line the water, the fabled Skinny Bridge, and the famous Anne Frank House. Then, we will enjoy a panoramic city tour, where we will see the great landmarks of Amsterdam including a photo stop at a windmill. Afterwards, we will enjoy some free time to further explore Amsterdam on our own before returning to the ship for our Gala Farewell dinner. Friday, April 26, 2013 - Keukenhof Gardens - Amsterdam Post-Cruise After our final gourmet breakfast, we will say farewell to our new family, the Captain and Crew of the MS AmaCello, and board our motorcoach for a custom tour of the world-famous Keukenhof Gardens, which promises to be a special treat since we are visiting during the peak of tulip season. Keukenhof is the largest bulb flower park in the world, featuring 4.5 million tulips in 100 varieties, and more than 7 million flowers in total, all planted by hand. It has been reported that Keukenhof is the most photographed place in the world, where spring bursts into bloom in an abundance of colors and fragrances not found anywhere else. While we were disappointed that the Floriade Expo was only held in 2012, we believe that our visit to Keukenhof Gardens will be an even greater treat to look forward to in 2013. After our tour, we will return to our hotel in Amsterdam with free time to explore on your own. Salisbury Cruise Club will provide suggestions on some of the attractions you may wish to visit in Amsterdam as well as a selection of restaurants where you may choose to enjoy dinner. Saturday, April 27, 2013 - Fly from Amsterdam to Philadelphia We will check out of our hotel and board our motorcoach for transportation to the airport for our flight home. Available Cabins We are currently holding 20 cabins for our group. All cabins are 170-square feet in area with identical layout. The River View Cabins have two large windows (3-feet x 1.4 feet), while the French Balcony Cabins have a full floor to ceiling sliding glass door. All cabin categories are currently available, although selection is limited in categories C, D and E, and should be booked

as soon as possible while they last. Categories are generally set by location on the ship with the cabins closer to mid-ship and located on higher decks being slightly more expensive in the same category. The following cabin categories are available: - Category E - yellow - (River View) - Piano Deck 1 midship - Category D - orange - (River View) - Piano Deck 1 mid-forward - Category C - purple - (French Balcony) - Deck 2 and 3 aft - Category B - green - (French Balcony) - Cello Deck 2 - Category A - blue - (French Balcony) - Violin Deck 3 While the French Balcony Cabins are on the upper deck (just below the Sun Deck) and provide a great view from the comfort of your cabin, we found that the best place to enjoy your cruise is the Sun Deck, offering 360-degrees of spectacular scenery. If the air temperature is too cool on the Sun Deck, the spacious lounges also offer views on both sides of the ship and comfortable seating to enjoy the scenery. So, while the French Balcony Cabins are indeed nice, for those of you who need to save a few dollars, the River View Cabins offer an acceptable alternative. Cruise and Tour - Total Package Prices Cabin categories available in our group allotment and Total Package Prices are as follows: - River View Cabin (Category E) - $4,400 per person - River View Cabin (Category D) - $4,600 per person - French Balcony Cabin (Category C) - $5,000 per person - French Balcony Cabin (Category B) - $5,200 per person - French Balcony Cabin (Category A) - $5,300 per person These prices are based on double occupancy (two people per cabin). Singles may be paired with a roommate, if available. This is a limited time offer from AmaWaterways, which includes substantially reduced air fare. Cabins must be booked by May 15, 2012 to qualify for this special package price. Once registered and deposited, your next payment won t be due until October 2012 and your final payment will be due in January 2013. After you register, while there is no penalty for cancellation through May 20, 2012, cancellations made between May 21 and December 10, 2012 will be subject to a $500 non-refundable cruise and air deposit. Further cancellation penalties apply for cancellations received after December 10, 2012. Therefore, we recommend purchasing the optional Comprehensive Travel Protection Insurance at $180 per person for peace of mind (see details below). We recognize that the Total Package Price for this cruise is a bit more than most of the ocean cruises that we have organized in the past. However, once you factor in the additional expenses of an ocean cruise, such as tours, Internet access, beer and wine, and considering the exceptional features of an AmaWaterways cruise, including personalized service, luxury accommodations and the outstanding pre- and post-cruise land packages provided as part of the Total Package Price, we believe that our Luxury Rhine River Cruise 2013 offers an exceptional vacation experience for the price.

In summary, the Salisbury Cruise Club Total Package Price for our Luxury Rhine River Cruise and Tour, April 17-27, 2013 reflected in the rates above includes: Round trip bus transportation from Salisbury to Ocean Pines to Philadelphia Round trip air fare from Philadelphia to Zurich, Switzerland returning from Amsterdam, Netherlands Ground transportation in Switzerland and the Netherlands to and from our hotel and the ship in Basel and Amsterdam Pre-Cruise Land Package in Switzerland including one night hotel stay in Zurich and scenic tour through Lucerne on our way to the ship in Basel Post-Cruise Land Package in Amsterdam including a tour of world-famous Keukenhof Gardens during the peak of tulip season and one night hotel stay in Amsterdam 7-day cruise aboard AmaWaterways MS AmaCello including deluxe accommodations, classic gourmet cuisine, pampered service, deep cultural enrichment, free Internet access, immersive shore excursions, and the list goes on Complimentary unlimited wine, beer and sodas with dinner and specialty coffees at all times onboard the ship Guided tours with personal audio headset in Colmar and Strasbourg, France; Speyer, Rudesheim, Koblenz and Colgne, Germany; and Amsterdam, Netherlands with an optional tour available to Heidelberg, Germany (additional cost). Tours are divided into groups based upon your own personal pace if you d rather not join the Salisbury Cruise Club group Complimentary bicycles for use in port to explore on your own, or to join a guided bike tour which are available in several ports Evening Entertainment each night in the comfortable lounge onboard the ship all taxes and port charges the services of your Cruise Hosts Kelly and Tracy Shannahan, and several free gifts and mementos of your cruise from the Salisbury Cruise Club. Refund Policy and Comprehensive Travel Protection Insurance If you change your mind immediately after you register and wish to cancel, you may cancel with no penalty and receive a full refund of your deposit and insurance premium up until May 20, 2012. Our specially-priced group air fare will be booked on May 21, 2012 after which cancellations will be subject to a $500 non-refundable cruise and air deposit for any cancellation received from May 21 through December 10, 2012. Beyond December 10, 2012, additional cancellation penalties will be imposed. A summary of the cancellation penalties is as follows: Date of Cancellation Cancellation Penalty Through May 20, 2012 No Penalty ($0) May 21, 2012 - December 10, 2012 50% of Deposit ($500) December 11, 2012 - January 10, 2013 100% of Deposit ($1,000) January 11 - February 10, 2013 35% of Total Package Price February 11 - March 10, 2013 50% of Total Package Price March 11 - March 31, 2013 80% of Total Package Price After March 31, 2013 100% of Total Package Price To protect yourself from these cancellation penalties in the case of sickness or injury to you, your traveling companion, a family member or business partner which results in a medically imposed restriction as certified by a Physician preventing you from participating in the trip, we highly recommend that all passengers purchase the Optional Comprehensive Travel Protection

Insurance which is available for this cruise through Travel Insured International at a special group rate of $180 per person. While you would not be reimbursed for the $180 insurance premium, you would receive a 100% refund of all cancellation penalties imposed if you must cancel for a qualifying reason on or after May 21, 2012. In addition to sickness and injury as referenced above, there are also several other qualifying reasons for cancellation which are covered by the insurance (see summary of benefits). In addition, the Comprehensive Travel Protection Insurance covers several other potential trip related expenses that may be incurred if problems arise including: Trip Interruption (up to 150% of Total Package Price), Trip Delay (up to $750), Baggage/ Personal Effects (up to $1,500), Baggage Delay (up to $400), Accident and Sickness Medical Expense (up to $50,000), Emergency Evacuation/ Repatriation (up to $250,000), Accidental Death/ Dismemberment ($25,000) and Worldwide Emergency Assistance Services (Included). Furthermore, by purchasing this insurance at the time of deposit when you first register for this cruise, you will also be covered for any pre-existing conditions. Bottom line, we highly recommend that everyone purchase this Optional Comprehensive Travel Protection Insurance at a cost of $180 per person at the time of deposit. While we never like to think of potential problems, they do sometimes occur. For example, on our 2007 Hawaii Cruise, we had a few passengers come down with a touch of the flu. Each of these passengers received medical attention and treatment on board which was fully covered by the insurance. Likewise, we had two passengers that had to cancel their Mediterranean Cruise in 2008 at the last minute, one due to the illness of their mother and another due to a personal injury. Both passengers received full refunds which saved them several thousand dollars each. In addition, their roommates were assessed a hefty single supplement charge by the cruise line which was reimbursed in full by Travel Insured. In my opinion, this Comprehensive Travel Protection Insurance is well worth the extra expense for the peace of mind alone. Deposit and Payment Information Upon registration, a $1,000 deposit per person will be required to be paid by check made out to Salisbury Cruise & Travel, LLC. If you wish to purchase the Optional Comprehensive Travel Protection Insurance, please add $180 per person to your deposit check. After your initial deposit, your next payment won t be due until October 10, 2012 and your final payment will be due by January 10, 2013. Both your October and January payments can be paid by check or billed to your credit card directly with AmaWaterways if you prefer. For credit card payment authorization, please fill out and sign the credit card authorization portion at the bottom of the registration form. Special Offer - Must Register by May 15, 2012 As mentioned earlier, this is a special promotional price currently being offered exclusively to Salisbury Cruise Club members by AmaWaterways. To qualify for these special prices, all registrations must be received by May 15, 2012. As with all Salisbury Cruise Club cruises, space will be guaranteed on a first registered and deposited basis. Please also be advised that there are a very limited number of River View cabins (6 Category E cabins and 7 Category D cabins) and only 8 of the lowest priced French Balcony cabins (Category C). If you wish to book one of those cabins, please submit your completed registration and deposit payment as soon as possible while they last. We encourage you to print a copy of the Registration Form below, fill it out and return it with your $1,000 per person deposit and $180 per person optional insurance payment by check made out to Salisbury Cruise & Travel, LLC and mailed to 3911 Five Friars Road, Salisbury, MD 21804. Please also plan to attend our meeting on Thursday, May 10, 2012 at 7:00

pm to learn more about this cruise. ******* 10-Day Panama Canal Sunfarer Cruise - October 2013 I am pleased to report that interest has been strong in our planned 10-Day Panama Canal Sunfarer Cruise tentatively scheduled for mid- to late-october 2013. Since we announced this proposed cruise in the March 2012 edition of Salisbury Cruise Club News, we have received favorable replies from 75 members expressing interest in joining us. While it s still too early to provide exact details about this cruise since Holland America Line (HAL) won t be releasing their fall 2013 itineraries until later this month or next month, please keep an eye on your email for more information as soon as we are able to share the exact dates and other tentative plans. Of course Total Package Pricing won t be available until later this year when we can block our group air fare, which can t be booked until November at the earliest. But we should be able to block our group space on the ship by May and provide a better estimate of pricing by early this summer. As referenced last month, based upon similar current itineraries, it is likely that this cruise will embark from Fort Lauderdale, Florida and call on Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (HAL s private island); Willemstad (Curacao), Antilles; Oranjestad, Aruba; Colon, Panama; Puerto Limon, Costa Rica; in addition to spending one morning entering the Panama Canal and cruising in Gatun Lake before exiting the Panama Canal later that afternoon. At this point, total estimated pricing, including air fare, should be in the range of $2,000 to $2,500 per person, depending upon cabin category. ******* Help Us Keep Our Email Address Book Current Unfortunately, over the years we have lost touch with some of our members who have changed their email address. Please remember to advise us if you are changing your email address so we can update our records and keep you informed of all Salisbury Cruise Club news. In addition, if you are aware of a member who has changed their email address and/or has commented that they are no longer receiving our newsletter, please send me their name and email address so I can update our email address book and roster. Thank you! ******* New Members Always Welcome As you know, the mission of the Salisbury Cruise Club is to provide awesome group cruises to all cruise enthusiasts and to introduce the luxury vacation experience that cruising offers to first time cruisers at an affordable price. Salisbury Cruise Club is a not-for-profit club which organizes and provides a value-added cruise experience by personally hosting all of our cruises and taking the worry out of your cruise experience. Membership in the Salisbury Cruise Club is absolutely FREE and there is no obligation. All we ask of members is that they consider joining us on future cruises and that they spread the word about our club and cruises to others who may be interested. If you know someone who may be interested in joining our club, you can simply forward me their name and email address (and U.S. mailing address too if you have it, however

email is our preferred means of communication) and I ll send them some general information and add them to the email membership roster. Or direct them to the Salisbury Cruise Club website at www.salisburycruiseclub.com where they can sign up online. They will then receive all future mailings and announcements of upcoming cruise opportunities at no cost and no obligation. Thank you for your continued support of the Salisbury Cruise Club. I hope to see you on our next cruise.
