Itinerary ITINERARY Sat, Jun 2 DEPART THE UNITED STATES Depart Columbus and take overnight flight across the Atlantic. Enjoy in-flight entertainment and meal service as you travel to start your vacation. Sun, Jun 3 DUBLIN ARRIVAL After landing at Dublin Airport, complete customs and immigration formalities. Your driver/guide will welcome you to Ireland and escort you and your luggage to the coach. Next set off with a local guide who will show you around Dublin. The city has been molded through the centuries with many architectural styles, reflecting the economic, political and artistic influences. Stop at Trinity College to see the Book of Kells, an 8th century illuminated manuscript of the gospels and the see the Old Library. Stop to tour St. Patrick s Cathedral, which is almost as old as the city itself and famous for its connections with the brilliantly eccentric Dean Jonathan Swift. Drive a short distance to your hotel, check in and relax or freshen up before a free evening for dinner on your own. OVERNIGHT: CAMDEN COURT HOTEL Mon, Jun 4 DUBLIN CASTLE Today, visit Dublin Castle, which was the seat of power and government for many centuries. See the State Apartments, where many state functions are held in the richly decorated chambers. Stop to tour Guinness Storehouse to see exhibits on how this world-famous stout was first created and why it is so popular today. Finish your visit in the roof-top-bar, where you can sample a draft of Guinness. This evening drive to the town of Rathfarnham to Taylors Three Rock for dinner followed by a lively show. DINNER AND OVERNIGHT: CAMDEN COURT HOTEL Tue, Jun 5 KILKENNY CASTLE This morning, visit Kilkenny Castle, home of the Butlers, Earls and Dukes of Ormonde. The castle estate boasts both form and informal gardens, which overlooks the Nore River. Continue your journey into Cashel and stop at the Rock of Cashel for a guided tour of these majestic church ruins, which are clustered high on a limestone outcrop overlooking the surrounding countryside. Drive into Blarney, where you can climb the battlements of the Blarney Castle and kiss the famous Stone of Eloquence or take a walk through the stunning grounds, if you do not wish to climb. Also, visit the Blarney Woolen Mills, which has an excellent range of Irish products of all types. You will also have time browse around the village, charmingly set around a large village green. Journey along into Killarney, check into your hotel and enjoy the remainder of the afternoon free. In the evening, join your fellow travelers for dinner at the hotel restaurant. DINNER AND OVERNIGHT: THE BREHON HOTEL, KILLARNEY Wed, Jun 6 RING OF KERRY Today explore the Ring of Kerry 100 miles of marvelous scenery consisting of the highest peaks in Ireland on one side and a coastline scattered with golden beach and rock headlands on the other. Enjoy plenty of stops to view the scenery and take photos. Stop at Ross Castle for photos, a 15th century tower house and a typical example of the stronghold of an Irish chieftain inn the Middle Ages. Next visit Muckross House, and elegant 19th century mansion set beside the tranquil Muckross Lake. A guided tour will fill you in in on some local history and the family ties to the United States. Enjoy the elegant rooms and rich furnishings before strolling through the gardens. Return to Killarney for a free evening. OVERNIGHT: THE BREHON HOTEL, KILLARNEY

Thu, Jun 7 DINGLE PENINSULA DRIVE Today, discover the beauties of the Dingle Peninsula, once described by the National Geographic Traveler as the most beautiful place on earth. Drive along the south shore of the peninsula for plenty of vistas of heathery mountains, sandy stretches of beach, stunning green landscapes and rock headlands. There will be frequent stops at strategic locations to admire the views and take photos. Continue on to Slea Head at the western tip of the peninsula. This excursion will give you excellent views of mountains and coastline and looking over to the Iveragh Peninsula. Stop to visit Gallarus Oratory, built in the 6th century of unmortared stone and watertight after 14 centuries. Next, stop in the village of Adare, famous for its attractive main street of thatched houses and colorful gardens. Stroll through the village and take some photos. Continue your journey into the Village of Bunratty and check into your hotel where you will have some time to relax before a festive evening. This evening enjoy dinner at Durty Nelly s pub which stands in the shadow of Bunratty Castle and has been in business for about two centuries. It is a warren of small rooms and intimate bars with cozy fireplace seats. There is usually a lively session of music and the atmosphere is spirited. DINNER & OVERNIGHT: BUNRATTY CASTLE HOTEL Fri, Jun 8 CLIFFS OF MOHER After a wholesome Irish breakfast, drive along the coast of County Clare and stop to visit the Cliffs of Moher, one of Ireland s most beloved, natural landmarks. See magical vistas, overlooking the shimmering Atlantic Ocean along the Ireland s Western coastline. Travel via Doolin, a charming small seaside village on the northwest coast of County Clare. Traditionally a fishing village, Doolin is now renowned world-wide as the traditional music capital of Ireland. Stop to visit Poulnabrone Dolman, one of the most dramatic stone grave markers built about 4000 years ago. Like a piece of sculpture, it is one of the most photographed in the world. Continue your journey through Ireland s green pastures and into the bustling city of Galway. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and relax before joining your group for a traditional Irish dinner at the hotel restaurant. DINNER AND OVERNIGHT: PARK HOUSE HOTEL, GALWAY Sat, Jun 9 QUIET MAN WALKING TOUR Today, drive into the Village of Cong and embark on a walking tour, a place made famous by the 1952 movie of The Quiet Man featuring John Wayne and Maureen O Hara. Discover places featured in the movie and see some of the movie memorabilia in the Quiet Man Heritage Cottage. Stop at Kylemore Abbey for photos of the elegant mansion and church, set beside a tranquil lake. Continue on and stop a Leenane ad take a short catamaran cruise aboard the Connemara Lady through Killary Harbour, Ireland s only fjod. Enjoy the onboard commentary as you admire the views from this narrow inlet, which is surrounded by hills and cliffs. Return to Galway where the remainder of the afternoon and evening are free for individual pursuits and dining options. OVERNIGHT: PARK HOUSE HOTEL, GALWAY Sun, Jun 10 ATLANTIC SHEEPDOGS Today, stop at Atlantic Sheepdogs, where you will have the opportunity to experience farm life and see some of the world s smartest sheepdogs, working in their natural environment. Next, stop at Classiebawn Castle for photos before continuing your journey into Stranorlar and checking into your hotel. In the evening, join your fellow travelers at the hotel restaurant. See the 17th century city walls, which are some of the best-preserved in Europe, and the Diamond Museum with local history displays and the Guildhall where the history of Derry is depicted in stain-glass windows. Tue, Jun 12 GIANTS CAUSEWAY After breakfast, stop to visit the Giant s Causeway, an impressive area of hexagonal columns formed over 60 million years ago by cooling lava which has given rise to many legends. Next, visit Bushmills Distillery, which is Ireland s oldest whiskey distillery. See how whiskey is distilled and then try a sample at the end of your tour. Stop at Ballintoy Harbor, located along the scenic North Antrim Coastline. It is also where Theon, on the television show, Game of Thrones, returns to the Iron Islands and meets his sister, Yara for the first time. Upon arrival, embark on a panoramic tour around Belfast. In the city center see the Albert Memorial and Opera House and Crown Liquor Saloon. In Donegall Square visit the imposing City Hall, completed in 1906. The richly decorated interior contains stained glass portraying Belfast s principal industries. Drive through County Down and journey along via the Mourne Mountains for spectacular views. Next, visit Monasterboice, which dates from the 5th century and is famous for its collection of Celtic high crosses which are intricately decorated.
