PRESIDENT S MESSAGE INSIDE THIS ISSUE Upcoming Events 4 Winter Getaway 5 After Christmas Party! 6-7 Classifieds & Notices 8-9 Name That Vehicle Back If you were at the last meeting, you know that our Flea Market at Krebs car dealership has been cancelled. If you know of another location for the Flea Market, please contact Daryl Elliott and maybe we can salvage that event this year. Don t forget, our After-Christmas Party will be held on February 8th. The deadline to RSVP for the dinner is getting close. Hope to see you there. Until next time, stay healthy and warm. Michael Did you send in your membership renewal? If not, please send your $25 check, payable to NHHAC to: Jack Swaney, P.O. Box 152 Mars, PA 16046-0152

NHHAC NEWS February 2015 Page 2 NORTH HILLS HISTORIC AUTO CLUB MINUTES January 11, 2015 On January 11, 2015, President Mike Quinn called the meeting to order following the Pledge of Allegiance. President Quinn inquired if there were any corrections or additions to the minutes of the December 14, 2014 meeting. There were none. Steve Illsley motioned to accept the minutes, and Jackie Sheerer seconded the motion. Treasurer Jack Swaney read the treasurer's report. Current cash balance is $6,202.53. Roger Boff made a motion to accept the treasurer's report and Pat O'Neill seconded. Wellness Report According to his son, John Kuss will not walk on his own again. John currently does not have a phone. A card was sent from club. Marge DePaolis was in the hospital undergoing tests and a bad infection was diagnosed. She is now at home but is feeling fatigued. She would welcome cards. Mike Quinn reported that he is doing well on his current medication, and although he still remains on the liver transplant list, if the medication continues to work and his blood tests are good, he may not require a transplant. Jim Driscoll is finished with chemo but is undergoing further treatment for bone cancer and is doing well on the treatment. Cards or calls will be appreciated. No guests or new members were present. Old Business Daryl Elliott reported that as of January 11, Krebs confirmed that they cannot provide their facility for our flea market this year because of space limitations. Other locations are being explored, but thus far, nothing has been identified. The date might have to be changed if a suitable location can be identified. Members were asked to canvass locations for possibilities. If a larger suitable location can be found, additional spaces could be made available and walk-ins could be increased. If no location can be identified, flea market will have to be canceled for 2015. Jack Swaney reported 50 reservations for the after Christmas party. Pat O'Neill reported that the date for the spring painting seminar has not been confirmed New Business Mike Coco reported that the spring trip this year will be to Walnut Creek, Ohio rather than Blackwater Falls. The date is March 6-8, 2015. The Carlisle Inn, an Amish-run facility, has been chosen as the venue. Eight single rooms are available for $118.38 per night (includes tax). Double occupancy rooms are available at $140.91 per night (includes tax). Breakfast is included in this rate. Also a $20 food voucher is included for the restaurant next door. Pamphlets were distributed. To reserve a room, contact the Carlisle Inn at 855-400-2275 or 330-893-3636 (website: carlisleinns.com). Indicate you are with the North Hills Historic Auto Club. After making a reservation, contact Mike Coco. Steve Illsley is planning a late summer (September 14-18) trip to either Syracuse or Michigan. All antique cars only - no modern cars. Steve will have final destination at the February meeting. You will no longer have to give auto Insurance cards to Steve. When you are on a tour, you will just have to show Steve your proof of insurance. Patti Theissen, who has been handling our apparel embroidery, has retired and is attempting to sell her business; therefore, a new vendor will have to be identified for future apparel purchases. Mike Quinn has identified a place in Millvale that might be interested in our business. Diane Otto will investigate. Mary Jo Phillips has reserved Mars High School for our car show which will be held Sunday, June 7, 2015. There being no further business to discuss, Mary Jo Phillips motioned to adjourn. Respectfully submitted, Diane Otto
