Check in time: New Hall Lobby at Rhode Island College 12:00 2:30pm Meet in the lobby at 2:30 to go to the first session (2:45pm) ***** WHAT TO BRING ***** Towels, pillow, pillow case, sheets, sleeping bag, etc. NO LINENS SUPPLIED. You should have training shoes, shorts, T-shirts, swimsuit, socks, soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, sunblock, alarm clock and money for food/snacks after evening sessions. Throwing Equipment: We will supply throwing equipment, athletes may bring their own but we suggest they are clearly marked as we are not responsible for any lost or damaged equipment. Equipment: We will sell throwing videos, spikes and accessories for 15% discount at the throwing school. You will then get 10% off on all purchases for the rest of the year. If you order online at mfatheltic (everythingtrackandfield.com) be sure to type in your camp attendance at the end of your order in the SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS box. We will accept cash, checks, and credit cards at camp. You will receive: Camp T-shirt. Dorm Keys: **DO NOT LOSE YOUR KEY and/or SWIPE CARDS. YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY $25 REPLACEMENT FEE** MEALS: Total is 8. First meal is dinner on June 28th. There are 3 meals on both June 29 th and June 30 th, but only breakfast on July 1 st. The school finishes before lunch on July 1 st. (Commuters do not have meals included in their camp tuition fee, but meals may be purchased in the cafeteria). ROOMMATES: If you are sleeping overnight on campus you may request a particular roommate, but please tell us at least a week BEFORE camp begins! (Boys and girls stay in the same dorm-new Hall-on campus, on separate floors. Our coaches stay in the same dorms with the camp attendees, so the campers are never left alone. Permission Slips are mandatory to participate: If you did not mail in a signed application for registration, please sign the included form and bring to camp with you! We will have extras at camp when you check in if you forget to bring yours with you! They must be signed by a parent, guardian, or by the attendee if over age 18! DEPOSITS: Refundable until June 1 st. NO REFUNDS AFTER June 7 th because Bill Falk s Camp will have already paid for your spot at our host location. Balance Due: At Registration. Call 1-800-892-3179 weekdays from 8:30am until 5:30pm. THORWS CAMP Athletes (male, female, high school and college) are taught the important fundamentals of throwing with NO EMPHASIS ON COMPETITION. Attendees will be introduced to a proven and easy-to-follow system that gives them valuable techniques that they will take home for continued practice after camp ends. General Rules Male athletes are forbidden from female floors. Female athletes are forbidden from male floors. No Alcohol. No drugs. No Smoking.
Campers are not allowed to leave campus at anytime or operate motor vehicles during the entire camp. Commuters with cars are not allowed to transport overnight campers at any time. Do not take screens out of dorm windows, and do not place drinks or snacks on game tables in dorm lobby/rec room. Overnight parking is allowed at the lot across from Sweet Hall. Report any damage or problems in your room immediately and DO NOT take anything from the dorm that does not belong to you. VIOLATION OF ANY RULES WILL RESULT IN IMMEDIATE DISMISSAL FROM CAMP. Safety Rules - SAFETY is our primary concern Attendance REQUIRED at ALL sessions. No Cell phones or Headphones Allowed on the fields. No athlete is to participate in any camp activity unless directly supervised by a member of the camp staff. Turn onto Killingly & go north (RI-128 North) and follow to the end (about 1 mile) and you will come to a traffic light. Turn right onto Manton Avenue (not marked) at the traffic light and follow for ½ mile to traffic light (you will go over a tiny bridge). Go left onto Fruit Hill Avenue (by the CVS). Fruit Hill Avenue bears right at Saint Thomas Church. The RIC entrance is ¼ mile on the right after the church. Take the first right once you are on the campus, NEW Hall will be on your right. From the West: Several routes empty into I-295. Once on I-295 follow the same directions as above. From the East: Take I-195 West to I-95 North for about ¼ mile to the 6-10 connector stay on US-6 West. Take US-6 West to the Killingly Street exit. Go North on Killingly Street and follow the same directions as above. RIC is close to US-6 with major highways and no beach traffic. Air Travel: Fly to Providence and take a taxi cab to RIC. Trains: Make arrangements through AMTRAK (1-800-872-7245 or www.amtrak.com) Providence is the closest train station and taxi cabs are available to take to RIC. Buses: Make arrangements through Bonanza Bus Lines (1-888-751-8800 or www.bonanzabus.com) Connections to Providence are good and a taxi cab can get you to RIC. Parking at RIC is free and right across the street from the dorm. Important!
