2018 Dear Parent and Caregivers, We are only two weeks away from our much anticipated adventure at the. It is important to have all information returned to school as soon as possible. The camp is a wonderful learning experience. Students will be encouraged to have a go at all camp activities and challenges. The staff are looking forward to being a part of this camp and look forward to sharing photos and stories with you from camp and upon our return. Please complete and return the medical information form by 22nd May 2018 To bring the day of camp If medication is required, it must be given to the teachers in the original packaging, with the pharmacy information sticker, on the morning we leave for camp. If you wish to purchase souvenirs, please complete the order form and bring to camp with the exact money in a labelled envelope. This will be collected by teachers the morning we leave for camp. 2018 Activity List The following is a list of activities that students will be participating in while at the Great Aussie Bush Camp. Rock Climbing Night Activities Tree Climb Abseiling Bushcraft High Ropes Orienteering Anti Bullying Giant Swing Archery 15 metre climbing tower. Graded to suit a variety of abilities. Activities each night, including Commando spot lighting, Teamwork challenge night and County Fair. Harnessed activity where students climb a tree using rock holds. Suited to all ages. 12 metre abseil wall. An exhilarating activity. Bush cooking experience including fire awareness and damper cooking. A high ropes course. Students fully harnessed. Navigation and compass use across different courses. Suitable for all ages. Interactive session Very exhilarating 15 metre harnessed pendulum swing. Fun, carefully instructed, modern equipment to suit all ages.

PLEASE CLEARLY NAME ALL ITEMS Gear Checklist MEDICATION NEEDS TO BE GIVEN TO THE ORGANISING TEACHERS Please ensure all medication is in the original packaging and is labelled with times and dosages. It is a good idea to help lay out the items for packing, but have the students pack their own bags so that they can repack for the trip home. Sleeping bag Pillow Water bottle Raincoat (regardless of weather) Hat Sunscreen 1 pair of pyjamas (Pack for winter) Day pack (small backpack for water, sunscreen etc) Torch (make sure it works before you leave home) Toiletries (Including Toothbrush!) Insect repellent (roll on or cream) 2 pairs of joggers Thongs only for going to and from showers. 5 T-shirts needed. No singlets, tank tops, midriff tops (for safety on activities) 8 sets of underwear. 4 pairs of shorts. No mini shorts (for safety on activities) 3 pairs of track pants 3 sloppy joes / windcheaters 5 pairs of socks Bath Towel Tissues Plastic bags for wet and dirty clothes and towel. Plastic Drinking cup NO MONEY is necessary. Souvenirs are pre-ordered (please see order form). NO DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY (Including, but not limited to phones, IPads, Tablets, IPods). Cameras are optional, not ipods, phones or other technology with inbuilt cameras.(at your own risk and do not include the above items as your camera)

Camp Guidelines and Rules Please be aware that these guidelines and rules are provided by the Great Aussie Bush Camp. We require all students to behave in the manner that is expected of all Blue Haven Public School students. Our own school wide expectations of Safe, Respectful and Responsible also apply while at camp.
