In focus The Nansen Dialogue Network in S e r b i a

NDC Serbia Nansen Dialogue Centre Serbia was founded in December 1999. We have offices in Belgrade and Bujanovac.

Activities 2010-2012 Project 1: Development Through Dialogue Training programmes for local authorities and Civil Society Organizations (CSO) and advocacy campaigns aiming to improve local legislation in 5 interethnic municipalities in Vojvodina, Sandžak and Eastern Serbia. Project 2: Schools Cooperation Lillehammer-Bujanovac Strengthening social competence and preventing violence in schools: training on school mediation for teachers from village schools; exchanges and visits between Serbian and Albanian schools in Bujanovac Municipality. Project 3: Adequate and Efficient Municipal Government in a Multiethnic Society Supporting the multiethnic government in Bujanovac Municipality; providing public and media support through a series of meetings and seminars on political dialogue and through local media campaigns. Project 4: Peace Education in the Western Balkans (GPPAC regional activities) Regional training activities in Conflict Transformation Techniques for teachers/peace practitioners from multi-ethnic communities, lobbying institutions to support the schools approach in Peace Education, (PE) including the integration of PE in curricula. Project 5: Regional Awareness Raising (GPPAC regional activities) Media Focal Point for the promotion of regional PE activities. Development and management of GPPAC internet Peace Portal
