Upon arrival at the airport you ll be met by a local guide and assisted with your transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy at leisure. DAY 2 (FRIDAY) 06th SEPTEMBER 2019 BARCELONA (B/-/D) Join your local guide in the hotel s lobby for a half day tour of Barcelona that includes entrances to Sagrada Familia & Parc Güell. Duration: Max. 4hr. The rest of the afternoon is at leisure to explore the city on your own. This evening, enjoy a short walk with your guide to a local restaurant for our welcome dinner (located in the Gothic Quarter). DAY 3 (SATURDAY) 07th SEPTEMBER 2019 DAY TRIP TO FIGUERES & GIRONA (B/-/-) Meet your local guide for your day trip to Girona, where you ll have a 2 hour walking tour of the city center. The capital of its own province in northeast Catalonia, Girona is a sublime medieval city with one of Spain s last surviving Jewish quarters. From Napoleon to the Moors 800 years earlier, a lot of people have wanted to get their hands on
Girona. The city has faced 25 sieges in its history, which explains why it is completely surrounded by high fortifications that are still standing today. If you re a fan of Game of Thrones you ll have seen Girona s dignified grey stone streets in Season Six when it appears as Braavos. You have time at leisure for lunch on your own, and then continue to Figueres (trip duration: 0h45m approx.). Enjoy a guided walking tour including entrance to Dali Museum. Return to Barcelona (trip duration: 1h50m approx.) and enjoy dinner on your own. DAY 4 (SUNDAY) 08th SEPTEMBER 2019 BARCELONA - MADRID (B/-/-) Enjoy the morning at leisure in Barcelona. After check out your assistant will help with the transfer by coach to the Train Station (trip duration: 0h20m approx.) to board the train to Madrid. Upon arrival, meet with your Guide Assistant and transfer by coach to the hotel for check-in at hotel. You have time at leisure and dinner on your own. DAY 5 (MONDAY) 09th SEPTEMBER 2019 MADRID (B/-/-) Join your Local Guide and enjoy a half day guided tour of Madrid city center by coach and on foot, including entrance to the Prado Museum. Duration Max. 4h00m. The remainder of the day is free. DAY 6 (TUESDAY) 10th SEPTEMBER 2019 DAY TRIP TO AVILA & SEGOVIA (B/-/-) Meet with the local guide and depart by coach to Segovia (trip duration: 1h20m approx.) Enjoy a half-day (3 hours) walking tour of Segovia, including entrances to the Cathedral & Alcazar. Segovia has an incredible cathedral and numerous other Roman churches, an impressive Alcazar, and a picturesque Old Town. Segovia was declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1985. Enjoy lunch on your own before we continue to Avila (trip duration: 1h approx.). Once you reach Avila you ll have a walking tour of the city center, The Four Posts city walls and visit to Basilica of San Vicente. Duration Max. 2h30m. Return to Madrid (trip duration: 1h25m approx.) and enjoy the remainder of the day on your own. DAY 7 (WEDNESDAY) 11th SEPTEMBER 2019 DAY TRIP TO DAY TRIP TO TOLEDO (B/-/-) Board the coach for your journey to Toledo, where you meet your local guide for a 3 hour guided walking tour of Toledo that includes entrances to the Cathedral & Santo Tome Church. You will have some leisure time and lunch on your own before returning to Madrid (trip duration: 1h approx.). Dinner is on your own. DAY 8 (THURSDAY) 12th SEPTEMBER 2019 MADRID CORDOBA (B/-/-) Your local guide will meet you at the hotel to assist you with the coach transfer to the train station for the high-speed train to Cordoba. Meet with your Tour Leader at the Cordoba train station and transfer by coach to the hotel. After check in you will have time for lunch on your own before enjoying a guided walking tour of the Jewish quarter
and visit to the Great Mosque/Cathedral. Duration Max. 2h. The remainder of the day is free to explore and have dinner on your own. CORDOBA TRYP DAY 9 (FRIDAY) 13th SEPTEMBER 2019 CORDOBA BAEZA GRANADA (B/- /D) With your tour leader, travel by coach to Baeza and enjoy a walking tour of the historic city center. Baeza is a beautiful historic town full of Renaissance architecture and surrounded by groves of olive trees. It is situated on the edge of the National Park of Cazorla which is one of the most spectacular National Parks in Spain. Baeza was once a Moorish town and was the first in Andalucía to be reconquered in 1226. A period of great wealth followed and a beautiful medieval town was constructed. After exploring Baeza, continue to Granada (1h45m approx.) and check in to the hotel. Late in the afternoon you have a guided walking tour on the Albaycin quarter. Duration Max. 2h30m. After the tour you will enjoy a charming dinner and great views to the Alhambra from the Albaycin restaurant. GRANADA ABBA HOTEL DAY 10 (SATURDAY) 14th SEPTEMBER 2019 GRANADA (B/L/-) Enjoy a guided tour of the Alhambra, including Nasrid Palace & Generalife Gardens. Duration: Max. 2h30m. Please note the schedule may change depending on the availability of tickets to the Alhambra. Next you ll head to the restaurant located within the Bullring for a Cooking Show. The group will have private space in the upper lounge of the restaurant where your tour leader will translate all explanations given by the Chef. The group will be able to participate actively on the elaboration of several recipes from Granada, all products are fresh and from the region. Our chef will teach you how to prepare the dishes that make up the menu. After you will enjoy the prepared food with paired wines. The remainder of the day is on your own to explore. GRANADA ABBA HOTEL DAY 11 (SUNDAY) 15th SEPTEMBER 2019 GRANADA MALAGA (B/L/-) After breakfast you depart for Casabermeja (trip duration: 1h20m approx.). Here you will enjoy a guided tour of an olive oil mill & museum (EL MOLINO DEL HORTELANO). After the tour, taste the local olive oils and enjoy a lovely tapas lunch. From here we continue to Malaga (trip duration: 40m approx.) and check in to the hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure. CASUAL MALAGA DEL MAR DAY 12 (MONDAY) 16th SEPTEMBER 2019 MALAGA (B/-/-) Join your tour leader for a half-day guided walking tour of the historic center of Malaga, including an entrance to the Picasso Museum. The rest of the day is free for you to relax or enjoy more of Malaga on your own. CASUAL MALAGA DEL MAR DAY 13 (TUESDAY) 17th SEPTEMBER 2019 MALAGA - RONDA (B/-/-) After breakfast you board the coach and drive to Zahara (trip duration: 2hr10m approx.). Enjoy time at leisure in Zahara. The white village of Zahara de la Sierra has one of the most stunning settings in the province of Cadiz, if not the whole of Andalucía.
The Plaza Mayor is Zahara's main focus and heart, and a pretty place to stop in a bar to watch the world go by. Around the square are the Church of Santa María de la Meza, tourist office, Town Hall, souvenir shop, mirador (viewing spot) terrace bar, and the actual mirador which offers splendid views over the reservoir, the countryside and across to the village of Olvera in the distance. Don't miss the stone fountain in the centre - a water trough with a central street light. Continue to Grazalema (trip duration: 0h35m approx.) for more leisure time. Located in a high valley over 800m in the Sierra del Endrinal and dominated by the magnificent rocky outcrop known as Peñon Grande, the pretty mountain village of Grazalema is most popular base for visitors to the Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park. The limestone peaks of 1,500m around Grazalema are the first barriers that clouds from the Atlantic meet, causing plentiful rainfall. A unique microclimate has developed where a wide range of flora flourishes, such as the rare Spanish fir (pinsapo) that grows in the Sierra de Pinar close to Grazalema. We then continue to Ronda and check in to your hotel for the evening (trip duration: 0h50 m approx.). You are free to explore on your own. MAESTRANZA HOTEL DAY 14 (WEDNESDAY) 18th SEPTEMBER 2019 RONDA (B/-/-) After breakfast join your tour leader for a half-day guided walking tour of Ronda, including entrances to the Bullring & Don Bosco House. Ronda is said to be the home of modern day bullfighting. The Real Maestranza bullring is one of the oldest and most picturesque in Spain. It was built in 1785 by the architect Jose Martin Aldehuela. The ring can hold up to 5000 spectators. The rest of the day is at leisure in Ronda. Lunch & dinner are on your own. MAESTRANZA HOTEL DAY 15 (THURSDAY) 19th SEPTEMBER 2019 RONDA- GIBRALTAR JEREZ (B/-/-) After breakfast you will transfer to Gibraltar (trip duration: 1h55m approx.) At the border, you board minibuses and enjoy The Rock Tour: a visit to Gibraltar with audio guide. Enjoy some free time in Gibraltar for shopping & lunch on your own, and then return to the border by minibus transfer. Continue to Jerez de la Frontera (trip duration: 1h35m approx.) and check into your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure. Lunch & dinner on your own EXE GUADALETE HOTEL DAY 16 (FRIDAY) 20th SEPTEMBER 2019 DAY TRIP TO ARCOS DE LA FRONTERA (B/-/-) After breakfast you will depart for Arcos de la Frontera (trip duration: 0h35m). After our walking tour with the tour leader enjoy some leisure time to explore and have lunch on your own. One of Andalucia's most dramatically positioned pueblos blancos (white villages), Arcos balances atop a rocky limestone ridge, its whitewashed houses and stone castle walls stopping abruptly as a sheer cliff face plunges down to the river Guadalete. Declared a national historic-artistic monument in 1962 in recognition of its exceptional architecture and impressive location, the old town is a tangled labyrinth of cobbled streets that lead up to a sandstone castle, the Castillo de los Arcos. As you d expect
from such a spectacular vantage point, there are exhilarating views over the town and the rolling plain below. Although its time under the Moors was one of its most successful, Arcos has had a long history of occupation, as shown by the discovery of numerous archaeological remains from the Neolithic, Bronze Age, Tartessian, Phoenician and Roman periods. Plentiful water and its superb defensive hilltop location were the main attractions for settlers. Return to Jerez de la Frontera (trip duration: 0h35m approx.). Dinner is on your own. EXE GAUDALETE HOTEL DAY 17 (SATURDAY) 21 ST SEPTEMBER 2019 JEREZ-SEVILLE (B/L/-) Today you will enjoy a visit to the Royal School of Equestrian Arts and have a chance to see the horse show (times have not been set yet). We will also visit a sherry wine estate for a guided visit to the wine cellar, wine tasting and lunch. After lunch you will continue to Seville (trip duration: 1h20m approx.). Check-in at hotel & enjoy dinner on your own. DAY 18 (SUNDAY) 22nd SEPTEMBER 2019 SEVILLE (B/-/D) After breakfast join your tour leader for a half-day guided walking tour of Santa Cruz quarter, including entrances to Cathedral & Reales Alcazares. Duration Max. 3h30m.The remainder of the day is at your leisure until we meet for an evening show and dinner. You ll have a chance to enjoy a Flamenco Show with dinner consisting of tapas, dessert and wine. DAY 19 (MONDAY) 23rd SEPTEMBER 2019 SEVILLE (B/-/D) You have a completely free day to relax, do more sight seeing or last minute shopping. In the evening we visit a local restaurant with views to Guadalquivir River and Golden Tower for our farewell diner. DAY 20 (TUESDAY) 24th SEPTEMBER 2019 DEPARTURE TO CANADA (B/-/-) Coach transfer to Seville Airport will be available for your return flight to Canada.
