DIRECTOR S CORNER Hello HOG members, I want to start out by saying thank you to all who participated in the 19 th Annual Toy Run. The bike count was down some, but we made up for it in the toys that were bought. The donation box at the table had $197.00 in it. A big thank you goes out to the ladies that helped at the table ANITA ABHOLD, SHIELA KISSEL, KIMBERLY LEY, KATHERINE DEGEL (and I can t forget to mention my granddaughter, PEYTON!). After all the toys were placed in the trailer, I was off to the Burger Burn at JACK S MOTORSPORTS SERVICES. When I arrived GORDY HEANEY was hard at it, and people were lining up for a cheese burger and chips. We had a good turn-out! Thank you to JACK SNYDER and KENNY REISTER for stepping up again and hosting this burger burn again. We look forward to next year. Thanks to all who brought cookies to the meeting for the Toy Run we had plenty. DUANE and his wife from our sponsor, OWEN S HARLEY DAVIDSON and MICHAEL and his wife from Yakima showed up for both events. Owen s even donated $300 for the Toy Run - such a generous offer! They also gave the chapter $25 gift cards totaling $300 for the Christmas party. Finally, remember November meeting is election time - hope to see you all there. SAVE THE DATE CHRISTMAS PARTY! Put on your best (cleanest?) Harley Davidson shirt, grab a Santa hat (helmet?), and make your way to the annual Chapter Christmas Party (bash?) at the Wenatchee Convention Center on Friday, December 5 th! The only question you need to ask is, HOW DO I SIGN UP? Contact Director Mike ASAP to register. Dinner will consist of prime rib, chicken, fish, vegetables, dessert all for the low price of $25 per member, or $30 for non-members. PAYMENT MUST BE RECEIVED BY NOVEMBER 29 th. Social hour begins at 6:00pm with a no-host bar, followed by dinner at 6:45pm. Once everyone has their food, the fun will begin at 7:00pm. Bring a wrapped white elephant gift (approximate value of $15) if you want to participate in the gift exchange. Last year s wrapped goodies included bottles of booze, Harley Davidson knick knacks, and.um.some other items that we won t mention here! Send your check to: Mike Abhold, 1923 Leavenworth Place, Wenatchee, WA 98801. We need a total of 50 people to hold the site. Looking forward to a great time! YOU WON T WANT TO MISS THE PARTY OF THE YEAR!! BE THERE! MEMBER PROFILE This month we are featuring DOUG MCFALL! (His wife, Nancy, just became a chapter member this month! YAY!) What kind of Harley do you have? I now ride a 2014 Ultra Limited. Before that, I rode a 2009 Fatboy that I affectionately called "Chubby". How long have you been riding? I've been riding for 40 plus years. My first bike was a Honda 100CB that I bought used in the early 70's. In 1978 I made a deal with my former wife that if she gets a swimming pool then I get a new bike. So I purchased a Kawasaki 400 LTD from Joe Roberts at Wenatchee Cycle. I then sold the 400 in 2007 and bought my first big bike, a new 1200C Sportster. I soon found that I needed something even bigger and capable of longer rides; hence my current ride. Favorite place(s) to ride in Washington? I really enjoy riding anywhere that has paved roads, sun, friends, and little traffic. The North Cascades are terrific. Besides riding, what are your interests? It's hard to pick - I have varied interests. My favorites are my four granddaughters, Church, serving in Black Sheep HDFC, my wonderful wife, 60's muscle cars, and NASCAR. Favorite quote? One of my favorite movie quotes is, "Badges, badges. We don't need no stinkin' badges." 2

At each monthly chapter meeting, a name is drawn, and if it s YOU and you are present you get all the monies in the Pig Pot!! LADIES OF HARLEY (LOH) LOH BE-DAZZLED RIDE REPORT Our Bling Ride last month started out a little overcast, but by the time we reached Leavenworth, it was raining HARD. Undeterred by the rain, we stopped and geared up. Although we looked like little black and orange Pillsbury Dough Gals we stayed warm and dry. The rain did not dampen our spirits! Saturday began with Marine fog, but it burned off by 10:00am and we took off riding. Jan took the lead because we were now in her Briar patch. We stopped in Duvall to check out their faire. We made quite a hit with folks with our bling! Brunch at the Duvall Bar & Grill was very tasty. After lunch we enjoyed riding up to Snoqualmie Falls, back through Fall City, and then up and over the twisty roads of Tolt Hill to Carnation. What a beautiful day, and a beautiful ride! If there are places that you would like to incorporate into a ride for next year, please email Jan Davis-Morgan (email is listed below). RECENT RIDES / EVENTS: CANNONBALL RUN STOP AT OWENS Thanks to so many of you who came out to see the vintage motorcyclists on their next-to-last stop before their finish in Tacoma last month! While we were there, we took the opportunity to present DUANE with a certificate of appreciation for donating to our Run for the Border in May. Dave Degel, Doyle Smith, Ken Shank, Duane Worrell, Ron Hall RIDE TO MONROE FOR LUNCH This last-minute ride was put together by Director Mike, and the turnout was great 13 people! SAVE THE DATE! LOH AND DEBBIE'S MOTORCYCLE OUTFITTERS are having a BLING PARTY!! There will be food...prizes...and more. Gals, dress in your BLING and bring a gal friend to this event. IT is THE first of its kind, AND hopefully not THE last. November 6th at 6:00pm Motorcycle Outfitters 536 S Wenatchee Ave Wenatchee, WA 98801 Lunch at Ixtapa in Monroe yummy! RSVP Jan 509 884 5680 Or skilots07@hotmail.com Look forward to seeing you there!
