AWARDS AND COMPETITIONS 獎項與比賽 AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE IN TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT 最佳管理培訓及發展獎 The Award has been organized by the Human Resources Development Management Committee since 1990 to give public recognition of achievements in training and development to individuals as well as companies. The 2015 Awards consisted of two categories, namely the Campaign Awards and the Individual Awards. The Campaign Awards were then divided into Skills Training Category and Development Category. 25 th ANNIVERSARY The Award for Excellence in Training and Development celebrates its 25 th Anniversary this year. To mark the Silver Jubilee of the Award, five organizations were granted the 25 th Anniversary Award Most Dedicated Organization to People Development in recognizing their outstanding achievement in training and development over the past 25 years. The award-winning companies were: CLP Power Hong Kong Limited The Hong Kong Jockey Club The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited Maxim s Caterers Limited MTR Corporation Limited CAMPAIGN AWARDS Participating companies were invited to attend a shortlisting interview by the Board of Examiners which comprised members of the Training and Development Awards Organizing Committee and Human Resources Development Management Committee. Six finalists were shortlisted for each category and were invited to submit a write-up on their training and development programmes. All the finalists gave a presentation before a Panel of Adjudicators on 18 June 2015 at the Final Presentation Seminar which was an experience-sharing seminar and was attended by over 500 HR and training professionals. Shortlisted entrants were invited to an interview session on 15 May 2015 by the Board of Examiners, who then decided on the winners of the Distinguished Trainer Awards and Outstanding New Trainer Awards. The winner of the Trainer of the Year Award was selected from the Distinguished Trainer Awardees by the Panel of Adjudicators at the Final Presentation Seminar. QUALITY AWARD 優質管理獎 This prestigious annual award was introduced in 1991 to give recognition to those organizations that have achieved outstanding standards in quality and have made a lasting commitment to the process of quality management. The applicants for the 2015 Quality Award submitted written presentations on their quality programmes which were scrutinized by the Board of Examiners chaired by Prof Matthew Yuen. Other examiners included Mr Frankie Cheng, Mr Eric Chow, Ms Katherine Lau, Ms Ivy Leung, Mr Jonathan Lui, Ms Louisa Tam and Mr Chester Tsang. The China Marketing Award adopted the judging system of the HKMA/TVB Awards for Marketing Excellence. HONG KONG MANAGEMENT GAME 香港管理演習 In its 45 th year, the Hong Kong Management Game, a computer-simulated competition, commenced with the Official Round on 19 May 2015. The Hong Kong Final was held on 25 July 2015. After eight rounds of competition, the team KTMC Boys emerged as the Hong Kong Champion and was awarded a cash prize of HK$10,000, four round-trip air tickets to Singapore sponsored by Cathay Pacific Airways Ltd, as well as the SCMP Perpetual Trophy sponsored by the South China Morning Post. The first runner-up received a cash prize of HK$6,000. The second runner-up was awarded a cash prize of HK$4,000. This year, the cash prize sponsor was A.S. Teams from the region, who were winners of the respective management games, competed for the regional championship. After periods of intense competition, a team from Macau gained the honour of Regional Champion.
