Andy Rash, Events Coordinator Soldotna Chamber of Commerce & Visitor Center (907) 262-9814 andy@soldotnachamber.com Welcome New Events Coordinator, Andrew Rash! My name is Andrew Rash. I was born and raised on a small family farm in the Great Smoky Mountains, in Northeast Tennessee. During the past few years, I lived in Memphis, Tennessee, where I attended the University of Memphis Kemmons Wilson School of Hospitality and Tourism Management. In the middle of last year, my partner accepted a job with the City of Soldotna, and we made the exciting (and a little scary!) move to Alaska. I love living in Soldotna, and consider myself lucky to be in such a beautiful area with passionate and upbeat folks! In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family (including my St. Bernard, Lucy), cooking, and taking road trips. I m excited to become even more involved in our community by working with the Chamber and our partners on community events. freshsqueezed fun! Sara Hondel, Visitor Center Coordinator Soldotna Chamber of Commerce & Visitor Center (907) 262-9814 sara@soldotnachamber.com Welcome New Visitor Center Coordinator, Sara Hondel! My name is Sara (Burdick) Hondel and I was born and raised in Soldotna, Alaska! I ve lived on the Kenai Peninsula all my life, minus four years when I lived in Plant City, FL with my husband, Gary Hondel. I attended college at both the Kenai Peninsula College and the University of Alaska - Anchorage and hold a Bachelor of Education degree with a minor in history. I ve taught elementary school for ten years, both in the public and private sectors and currently teach language arts to 1st - 4th graders at Grace Lutheran School. My own two daughters have had the privilege to call their teacher, Mom. I have also worked summers at the Soldotna Visitor Center for the past four years. Speaking with visitors and sharing my knowledge about the area has been fun and rewarding. I m very excited to be your new Visitor Center Coordinator and look forward to bringing some new educational ideas to the center, for both adults and youth, alike! Saturday, June 13 th Soldotna/Kenai area businesses Host a Lemonade Stand at your Business!
