The Town and Country Chorus NOTES NEWS and VIEWS for January 8, 2019 We sincerely hope that everyone had a good Christmas and a Happy New Year s. It s hard to believe that it s 2019 already. As always December filled itself up with many events. Thank you to all who participated and supported the quartet engagements and the chorus sing-outs. We even managed to sneak in a little caroling too. We had a great time at the Chorus Christmas Dinner held at Olivia s Chop House in Jonesville and it was really nice to visit with Gordon and Yvonne Slee who came to enjoy the evening. Many of you perhaps had several special church services to attend, as well as hearing children and grandchildren performing in various musical programs at school and church. There were just many events to get to. All in all, it makes for a very busy time but a very special time also. Then with Christmas and New Year s falling on Tuesdays we had an extended time off from rehearsals. I hope everyone s vocal cords aren t feeling too rusty. Now, however, it is back to work and weekly rehearsals for all of us. Spring Show will be upon us before we know it. Bring with you to rehearsal all the Disney music you have. Additionally, Don has put a new song on the chorus website for us. The music and learning tracks are there for Bare Necessities. Make sure you download them and add these to your Spring Show practice music. Read through the calendar that follows; there is already quite a few items listed. Not all are singouts of course but many pertain to Pioneer District and Society events too. It might be a good idea to take a few minutes and copy these over in to your personal calendars. 2019 is on its way!
