DETAILED ITINERARY Day 1 Hanoi arrival Welcome to Hanoi: After a long time on airplane, you will reach Vietnam the S-shaped land, where 54 different ethnic minorities inhabited. You will be warmly welcomed by our guide and driver at the airport and transferred to your hotel in the city center of Hanoi. Free on your own afterward. Firstly, you will pay a visit to Ho Chi Minh mausoleum which is a building to commemorate the merits of Ho Chi Minh Uncle a great leader of Vietnam, and the surrounding sites of One Pillar Pagoda and his ancient house. After 2 hours, you will go to the next site of the Temple of Literature, which is the first University of Vietnam and dedicated to Confucius (Khong Tu). Lunch time: 12:30 01:30 p.m in a local restaurant In the afternoon After saving your energy with lunch, let s get ready for upcoming sightseeing this afternoon You will firstly leave for the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology, which focuses on the 54 officially recognized ethnic groups in Vietnam. It is estimated to be 2 hours at the museum Then you will be transferred back to the old quarter and visit the Temple of Jade Mountain sitting on a small island in the northern part of Hoan Kiem Lake and dedicated to the King Tran Hung Dao After that, at 5:00 p.m, you will spend around 45 minutes in the theater enjoying the Water Puppet show a traditional show of Vietnamese people. Getting out of the theater, you will sit in front of Cyclo to move around the old quarter and experience the local life in 30 minutes. The cyclo tour will take you back to your hotel and the day tour finishes at around 6:00 p.m. Check in the hotel near to station to take shower and have free time to have dinner for your own. 9:00 p.m, our guide will take you to Hanoi train station and help you to check in the cabin. Sport shoes, clothes must be prepared for the trekking activities in Sapa. Plastic boots will be good in case of bad weather (raining season from May to September). Overnight on train - Private cabin/a sharing 2-berth cabin Day 3 Lao Cai Sapa Mong Sen Ta Phin Village Welcome to Sapa: Sapa atracts travellers by the breathless view and the real experiences with local ethnic group, Sapa always is the impressive higlight during tourist s holiday. In the morning At 6:00 a.m, the train will reach the station in Lao Cai and you will be warmly welcomed by our guide and driver. Then you will have breakfast in a local restaurant and short time for relaxing. At 8:00 a.m, you will reach your hotel in Sapa town. If the room is already available, you can check in and take a short rest or else you will go downhill to Mong Sen where you start a dirt trail through rice fields and villages. Along the way, it is a wonderful scenery with a full of green. Lunch time: 11:00 a.m After lunch, you continue your trek downhill towards Taphin village inhabited by Red Dao and Black Hmong minorities. These are two largest ethnic groups living in Sapa area.
Then you make a stop by some houses to meet local people and talk with them to understand their culture, customs and traditions. Late afternoon, we will trek back to to main road to get on our vehicle for the journey back to Sapa. Enjoy beautiful landscape and scenery along the road. Upon reaching a waterfall and a hydroelectric station, we will take a short rest before continuing our trek on a dirt trail through rice paddy terraced fields. The area is still covered by rain forest under the protection of Hoang Lien National Park. We will arrive in Y Linh Ho village inhabited by Black Hmong people where we will have one more rest before climbing toward the main road. At 12:00 p.m, our vehicle will pick us up there and drive us back to Sapa
Lunch time: 12:30 01:30 p.m in a local restaurant In the afternoon After lunch, you will depart for the Silver Waterfall. The Silver Waterfall is located about a half hour from Sapa town which offers stunning views over surrounding mountains and lush forests belonging to Hoang Lien National Park. Then you continue your drive uphill to the Heavens Gate, the highest stretch of road in Vietnam as well as the provincial border of Lao Cai and Lai Chau provinces. Enjoy fantastic view over the valley! At around 03:00 p.m, you will get back to your hotel and have your own free time before being transferred to the station for your night train back to Hanoi. Day 8 Nha Trang full day In the morning At 08:00 a.m, you will start your trip from your hotel to Cau Da port. Before embarking on boat, you are invited to visit Oceanographic Institute, where you can see the whole selection of sea creatures in Nhatrang bay. Then you will take boat cruise on the site of the institute or at Cau Da peer & be transferred to Mun island, where glass bottom boat standby takes you around this island. The glass-bottom boat then will transfer you back to the boat after touring around Mun Island restaurant. Lunch time: from 12:00 01:00 p.m: you'll have lunch on boat or an island restaurant. In the afternoon At about 02:30 03:00 p.m: Let s head to Tri Nguyen Aquarium located on the Mieu Island, which is famous for its unique architectural works designed with the structure like an aquarium in the fairytale.
