Knock, knock The Puerta de Alcalá gate is a monument next to the Cibeles Fountain and El Retiro Park. Who s there? I don t know. I m Pat. In El Retiro Park there are historical monuments, gardens and many cultural and sports activities. I wonder if that s where they go to catch jellyfish! No, jellyfish live in salt water and lakes are filled with fresh water. Mmmm not salty at all, so that sounds sweet... Yummy!
Real Madrid fans go to the Cibeles Fountain to celebrate their victories. And Atlético de Madrid fans go to Neptuno Fountain to celebrate theirs! Have you seen this, Patrick? There are two fountains where fans go to celebrate wins by their favourite football stars! I m also a star fish! And where do they play?
The Santiago Bernabéu is Real Madrid s stadium What wonderful football stadiums they have! Gary, who s the best football player in Bikini Bottom?... and the Metropolitano is the Atlético de Madrid s stadium. Meow. Discover all the fun activities the wonderful city of Madrid has to offer! There are many museums in Madrid, the most well-known are the Reina Sofía, the Thyssen-Bornemisza and the Prado! It says here the Prado is one of the most important museums in the world with about 1,300 works of art by painters like Velázquez, Goya and El Greco. Look! Kids can even go on a treasure hunt. Did someone say treasure? Oops! It looks like there s a painting here that someone forgot to colour in. Pick up your paints and give it some colour! This is my chance to use my paintbrush!

We should make a statue of a Krabby Patty like the Statue of the Bear and the Strawberry Tree and put it in front of the Krusty Krab! The Statue of the Bear and the Strawberry Tree in Puerta del Sol is the symbol of Madrid. I wonder if I ll find the secret formula inside the statue.
The Temple of Debod is a building from ancient Egypt located in a park that it is full of trees. Madrid has more trees than any other European capital city, around 300,000. Patrick, look at all the trees surrounding the Temple of Debod! How many do you think there are in the whole city? Hmmmm 3! Almost. Do you reckon it s bigger than Kelp Forest? HOW WOULD YOU LIKE TO SPEND A DAY VISITING THE PARKS? There are many parks and gardens throughout Madrid. Two of the biggest are: Madrid Río, which has many bridges and paths for walking, and Casa de Campo, a huge green area with its own lake. Casa de Campo is four times the size of Central Park.

Look! A zoo! They better not have any crabs. I hate them. Did someone call me? The Madrid Zoo Aquarium is one of the oldest in the world. It was opened in 1770.
Since 1969, Madrid s amusement park has been a magical place for kids, young and old. Wow, I didn t know Madrid had its own Glove Universe! It sure looks that way. It s called the Parque de Atracciones and it s full of fun rides!
Where have I seen this before? The amusement park has a children s area called Nickelodeon Land. There you ll find SpongeBob s very own house!
