P AnnAnnualA V From the President s Desk Home of the Month THA NEWSLETTER Fall 2018 Garbage Collection New Neighbors From the President s desk... Hi Neighbors, Your association has suffered a loss with the resignation of pastpresident Larry Vaughn. As you know he has served the association for a number of years, dedicating hours upon hours of work to it. I am pleased to have been chosen as your president again. Autumn is near, even though recent days temperatures don t show it. I know lots of folks are looking forward to cooler weather. And the leaves. Timberlake has a LOT of leaves, which is part of what makes it beautiful, both when green and when turning colors even though we don t get a lot of changing leaf colors here. A couple of things to remember as we attack leaves CWD says they will only pick up leaves on Thursdays, and they have a ten-bag limit. Sometimes they, by choice, will pick up leaves on Mondays, but only if their loads are light. So try not to leave bags stacked at the curb if they don t get them. You might consider mulching as an alternative to blowing, raking and containerizing bunches of leaves. Our pickup days in Timberlake Estates are Monday and Thursday. Please do not put items by the curb that will not be picked up for days, or weeks. These kinds of things detract from our neighborhood s awesome appeal. Feel free to call me at 817.929.0740 with your comments and suggestions, or email me at LynnHasHomes@charter.net. Sincerely, Lynn Roberts-Collins Curb Appeal Advertising National Night Out TIMBERLAKE ESTATES HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION www.timberlakeestates.org timberlakenews@gmail.com

You can find more information and forms at www.timberlakeestates.org, or if you have questions you can contact Richard Beverburg at 817-238-7113 Curb Appeal in Timberlake Estates One of the things that makes our neighborhood great is the awesome curb appeal of most of our homes. Try taking a walk out to the street to look back at your house. How does it look? Be honest with yourself. That old car in the drive with blocks behind the wheels, or even jacked up on an old TIRE? That thing obviously hasn t been driven in a while, and parking it in the street in front of your house doesn t fix it either! Consider DONATING that car and getting a tax write-off for it! And garbage cans stored in sight of the street surely there s somewhere else for those. BOATS are prohibited in your driveway. Some of you are pushing the limits! JUNK in your driveway or beside the house? Putting a blue tarp over it does not hide it, folks, and construction materials piled in the drive, that plainly are not being used on a current project, are unsightly as well. Residents with wrought-iron fences -- stuff stored behind that open fence is a violation of rules! You need to make your gate opaque! I don t want to start writing violation letters and making calls already. Please help me out here! THA President, Lynn Roberts-Collins
