Mt Everest Base Camp Day 1 Arrive to Kathmandu airport and be welcomed to Nepal by your guide. After a short transfer to your hotel take a much needed rest after the long flight. We will arrange dinner for you in the evening in Kathmandu's famous Thamel area. Day 2 It is time to discover Kathmandu! During your full day of sightseeing you will visit the Bouddahnat Stupa and the temple Pashupatinath, walk the ancient Durbar Square and enjoy the bustling life of the city. In the evening we will have a nice dinner and prepare for the trek. Day 3 Rise with the sun and catch a lift to the airport with your guide. Board your flight and watch as the Himalayan mountain range unfolds beneath you. You fly into Lukla at 2850 meters and the flight is roughly 45 minuets long. This is where your adventure really starts. After a coup of hot tea we will being our trek to Base camp. We walk through lush valleys, over hang bridges, through small villages and beautiful gardens. This is rural Nepali life, with a different and slower pace than that of the city. Over 80% of Nepalis still lives like this today. We have lunch at the village Pakhding and after a full day of trekking we will arrive to Monjo, which will be our first over-night stop. Day 4 The river Dudh Koshi is our constant companion as we cross it several times during todays' trek. We will walk the steep and winding path higher and higher we arrive to The City Amongst the Clouds, Namche Bazaar. This is the capital of the respected and famous Sherpa people. If you are lucky you will be able to spot Mt Everest during the trek up through the forrest. You have arrived at 3 440 meters and perhaps can you already feel how the high altitude is effecting you. We will spend the night at Hotel Tibet.

Day 5 This is your first acclimatizing day. We will walk up to the 'Everest View Point' at 4000 meters. From here you can see the mountain framed by layers of sloping hills and white peaks. We take a walk around the city with its colourful roofs and typical architecture and continue to the village of Khumjung where we will stop for a lovely apple cake and some local delicacies. Take the opportunity to socialise with the locals. We will spend the night at Hotel Tibet back in Namche Bazaar. Day 6 We start early and head for the village Tengboche at 3 867 meters. During the six hour long trek we will walk through a romantic scenery of forrest, rivers and fields where horses and cattle are gracing. In the village we will visit the beautiful Tibetan Monastery and meet Buddhist monks. Take the peace to your heart and fill yourself with inspiration in this holy place. If we are lucky the monks will bless our travels with a ceremony. After this privileged meeting we will continue down to the sister village of Deboche. Here we will enjoy dinner and an over-night stay. Day 7 It is important to give the body a chance to regain strength and today is our second acclimatizing day. We take a short walk to the village Pangboche were we have the opportunity to take some beautiful pictures and hang out with the locals. Laughter is never far away in this country and openness is in these peoples' eyes. We stay overnight in Pangboche. Day 8 There is something special about getting up early and grabbing the day like a bull by its horns. We trek through the thriving valley up to the little village of Dingboche, at 4250

meters. The view over Ama Dablam and Island Peak are stunning! This is our rest place for the night and perhaps we can even arrange a nice hot shower! Day 9 Our third acclimatizing day. We walk to the monument and prayer stone 'Nankartshang Gompa'. From here you will have a fantastic view over the big mountains, Lothse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Island Peak and our destination; Everest. Your drive to see Base Camp will be greater than ever, and it is only three days away! We walk back to Dingboche for the night. Day 10 The air is getting thinner and moving will become tougher but it is all part of the adventure! Todays' trek will be a steep climb up to Lobuche. We will take it slow and the trek will take five to six hours. On the way we will pass memorials over the adventurers, climber and Sherpas who have dies on Everest and other mountains over the years. The realisation that this is not just any regular trekking trip will sink in. We are in a blessed place that many have sought and some have never left. We will spend the night in Lobuche. Day 11 After a hearty breakfast we will walk through the barren Lobuche pass to Gorak Shep. This is an extreme environment and staying hydrated is key - keep this in mind from now on. We will spend the rest of the day resting and regaining energy at our comfortable guest house. Day 12 Today is the day! We start early to take the roughly three hour trek to our first goal, Mt Everest Base Camp. At almost 5 500 meters you have arrived at the base of the highest mountain on earth! Take it all in for a moment. The presence of the mountains are vast, almost palpable. We will return to Gorak Shep, eat dinner and stay over night.

Day 13 Today you will truly realise the meaning of the old saying cherry on top. At 5 am we will have our porridge and start our summit trek to Kala Patthar. After two hours of trekking and a climb of around 700 vertical meters we will arrive. It is 8 am and the most magical morning show on earth is about to start! As the sky disperse and the sun rays peer through, the mountain turns into a spire of burning, golden fire! Unforgettable. Capture the moment on camera for friends and family at home and hug your fellow travellers to celebrate the trip and this magical moment. Return to Lobuche were you will have lunch before continuing down the mountain to Deboche. As we descend you will feel a rush of oxygen in your body, making you strong and at ease again. Day 14 We continue our trek past the Tibetan Monastery that we visited on our way up and continue down to Namche Bazaar. We will arrive in the afternoon and have time to shop for some souvenirs, send mail home to loved ones or perhaps enjoy the luxury tastes of a cake and a cappuccino. We stay at Hotel Tibet. Day 15 Walk down the mountain in slow pace back to Lukla. This day trek is long but easy and relaxing. We stay over-night and catch the first morning flight back to Kathmandu. Day 16 Fly to Katmandu and get our transfer to the eco-adventure centre Royal Beach Camp. Take some much needed rest in your very own bamboo cottage by the beach and maybe enjoy a massage for your tiered muscles.

Have a drink at the beach bar and just soak in the past two weeks. You did it, you have been at the world's highest mountain! As the sun sets behind the hills we will celebrate the success of our adventure with a great BBQ at the beach. Day 17 Take full advantage of what Royal Beach Camp has to offer. Learn how to kayak, go white water rafting on the river or canyoning down beautiful waterfalls. If you rather relax take a dip in the pool, read a good book by the beach or play Backgammon over a drink. Day 18 Didn't have time to try out all the activities you wanted yesterday or need an extra day's rest? Spend your last day at Royal Beach Camp just like you want too. This is our adventure base - your place to regain strength and inspiration for the next adventure! Day 19 Rise early and have a good breakfast before you catch a ride back to Kathmandu. We will make sure you arrive in good time to the airport but there might be time to enjoy the bustling streets of the capital a last time. Forgot to buy a gift to mother-in-law? Better get it now!
