8. EXECUTIVE REPORT: April 15 Executive met regarding Bathe Park. To date they have paid their insurance and outstanding fees. Storie still owes $115.00 to Softball. Any contact with the City or Councillors needs to run through Kevin for approval before being sent out. Motion by Kevin, seconded by Danny for the OCCNA to donate $500.00 to Canada Day. Voted motion defeated. The City is trying to place user fees on the picnic areas for the Tots festival. Kevin and Patrick will be looking into this. Motion by Kevin, seconded by Donna for the OCCNA to sponsor a hole in the NASC Hockey Golf Tournament at the cost of $500.00. Motion carried- voted - approved. Anyone interested in being in the foursome for the tournament please see Kevin or Patrick. There will be a meeting on May th (after the NASC sports meeting) with the executive and all three sports chairs to discuss budgets and the photocopier. NASC Sports has been asked to look into a way to make the teams fair for all parks in the summer sports program. Peter asked where we stand on Willowdale this year. Willowdale is suspended at this time. Further discussions in summer and fall. 9. AWARDS & SPECIAL EVENTS REPORT: No Report 10. COMMUNITY CENTRES REPORT: There will be a meeting following OCCNA regarding Valleyview's steps and ramp. Having difficulty getting into parks for fire inspections. Very important to co-operate. It was left to parks to arrange for these inspections. Costs approximately $100.00 per park to do the inspections. Can we come up with a different plan for next year to handle this more effectively? Need to have executive lists from all parks to have a contact number. Please remember all repairs need to have at least 2 quotes before repairs are done. Patrick recommended that the community centres put a plan in place for improving fire inspections and then bring it back to OCCNA. Cedar Ridge has a water issue with their shed. They were told it would cost approximately $10,000.00 to repair. 11. NASC REPORT: No report- no meeting until May 7th. Adina brought up the posts for the mini fields. The fields are to be 40 by 60. The District was to work with the City to install the goal posts. At this time, the City does not plan to install these posts. DRSA has suggested supplying us with temporary nets to be put up at every game. This is unacceptable to NASC as they do not have the man power to do this. Need to have OCCNA put pressure on the City to get these posts in or approval to hire someone to do it? Kevin has had many emails between himself and the DRSA regarding this issue. Laurie was asked to contact Bill Slute to solve this issue. 24

12. SCREENING REPORT: Screening now has a secretary. June 30 th is the deadline for summer sports. Screening is having a problem reading the names on the envelopes.
