Global Study Tour: November 2018 Brazil and Argentina 2. PROGRAM SUMMARY 2a. DAY ONE: 4 November 2018 Arrival Sao Paulo and transfer to your hotel. Accommodation: Melia Jardim Europa Address: R. João Cachoeira, 107 - Itaim Bibi, São Paulo - SP, 04535-010, Brazil. Situated in a prime location in Itaim, one of the most famous districts in São Paulo. The hotel is near many of the city s attractions and landmarks. The hotel boasts a wellness Area with facilities for relaxation and fitness. It s a 45 minute trip from Guarulhos airport, where you will be landing.
2b. DAY TWO: 5 November 2018 Enjoy breakfast, followed by business meetings. This includes a full day coach hire, with an English speaking guide 08h00-17h00. 2c. DAY THREE: 6 November 2018 Breakfast, followed by a morning city tour of Sao Paulo, followed by lunch: Explore one of Brazil s most fascinating metropolitan areas on this City Tour: Meet Sao Paulo. During this 3-hour tour with a knowledgeable local guide, visit sites in the Pacaembu, Paulista and Ibirapuera neighborhoods. You will take a walk through downtown Sao Paulo, to see the Pátio do Colégio, the Municipal Theater and the Anhangabaú Valley. You ll end the tour with a visit to Luz Park and the Pinacoteca at the Luz Station. Round-trip transportation from Sao Paulo hotels is included. Pacaembu Area: The tour starts at the Pacaembu Football Stadium, where we stop to visit the stadium as well as Charles Miller Square and many other important neighborhoods. Paulista Area: Here we enjoy a panoramic tour past the Paulista Avenue (financial center) as well as the MASP and Trianon Park, to name a few. We will also stop to visit the House of Roses in the Ibirapuera Area. We ll stop in the area so that you can take photos at the Ibirapuera s Park and a few famous monuments including, Obelisk and the Bandeiras Monument and Palace. São Paulo Downtown Area: A panoramic tour by the Liberdade Neighborhood (a Japanese Town). We ll stop at the Sé Square to visit the Cathedral and the Pátio do Colégio, the place where the city was founded. The tour then continues, crossing the old center, passing by the Church and Monastery of St. Benedict, Municipal Theater, Anhangabaú Valley, Republic Square, Duque de Caxias Monument, São Paulo Concert Hall, as well as other important historic buildings. The tour ends with a stop and visit at the Luz Station and viewing the Luz Park and the Pinacoteca. Afternoon coach hire with English speaking guide for business meetings until 17h00. 2d. DAY FOUR: 7 November 2018 A half day tour to the coffee plantation: Brazil is the world s largest producer of coffee, supplying about a third of the global demand. On this tour you ll visit a farm located 80 miles away from São Paulo, in the region of Campinas. The plantation has 840 hectares (2.075 acres) in production, growing 1.5 million coffee trees. It s the best preserved coffee farm in the region and is still in activity. The plantation was officially founded in 1798. The original land was donated by the Portuguese Royal Court to a noble Portuguese family, in a process so called Sesmaria. It is a fabulous part of the Brazilian culture from the slavery period to today s production of a premium coffee commercialized in Japan. Today it belongs to the Mitsubishi group and it is used as reference for documentaries, motion pictures and soap operas in Brazil and by those from abroad. The farm has a well preserved museum, with objects and machines from the 50 s used for processing coffee, Casa Grande (main house where the owner lived), the Senzala (for the slaves) and the Colonia (for the immigrants). Visit this beautiful and traditional Coffee Farm, with an exclusive guided tour through the actual day to day life from the nursery to the harvest, roasting and packing.

DAY ELEVEN: 14 November 2018 We transfer from the hotel to Ministro Pistarini Airport in Buenos Aires, to catch our departure flight to Sao Paulo and then our connecting flight to Johannesburg.
