WHY WE NEED TO HAVE NATIONAL IFP REGULATION ICAO has issued many documents applicable for the IFP which ICAO Contracting States must implement into the national regulation. There are no EU regulations. There is no national regulation applicable for the IFP that would be binding on third parties and where duties and responsibilities of each party concerned would be described.

SCOPE OF THE NATIONAL REGULATION Who is authorized to initiate the IFP and what is the procedure for initiating the procedure design? Who is authorized to develop the IFP and what is the procedure for the development of the IFP? Who is authorized to validate the IFP and what is the procedure for validation? Who supervises the entire process?

GENERAL PROVISION The CAA shall carry out State supervision and control of the development, validation and maintenance of the IFP. The LGS shall perform the development, validation and maintenance of the IFP. Foreign flight procedure developing organization may perform the development of the IFP if it meets the requirements of LR national regulations. The expert group approved by the CAA assists LGS in all IFP development processes.
INITIATION OF THE IFP The development of a new IFP may be initiated by: LGS; National armed forces; Public and municipal authorities; Certified aerodrome operators; Airlines The submission of application for IFP development Examination of the proposed initiative Approval or decline of the application
DEVELOPMENT OF IFP Data acquisition required for the IFP development. The development and approval of conceptual draft of the IFP. The development of the IFP and package preparation.
VALIDATION AND PUBLICATION OF IFP Safety assessment of the IFP. Ground validation of the IFP. Flight validation of the IFP yes or no. Approval of the IFP. Publication of the IFP.
MAINTENANCE OF IFP Inquiry on the functionality of the new IFP by LGS. Verification of the validity of data from providers. Review of the efficiency of current IFP`s Reporting the results to the CAA
