General The Asia-Pacific Workshop on Time and Frequency (ATF) that meets once for two years is a workshop of researchers and specialist at time and frequency institute in the Asia-Pacific region. The purpose for ATF is to offer an opportunity to get together, report on their research activities, promote their researches and create mutual understanding, and to have discussions resulting in cooperation and collaboration. The whole event usually lasts for 2 days, including visits to the host institute's laboratories. The ATF is usually preceded or followed by APMP, General Assembly and Related Meetings that has been decided that Research Center for Calibration, Instrumentation and Metrology Indonesian Institute of Science (Puslit KIM-) will host the meetings in 2008. Organiser Puslit KIM- will host the ATF 2008 in conjunction with APMP 2008. The organiser of ATF 2008 will be part of the organiser of APMP 2008 in order to coordination. Puslit KIM-
Date and Venue The event will be held from 27 October through to 28 October 2008. The conference will be conducted in a hotel in Jakarta. A candidate hotel in Ancol has been considered. Participants will be accommodated in hotels in Ancol and nearby. Interested participants will visit KIM- s Time and Frequency laboratory in Serpong, Tangerang. Puslit KIM-
Participants Approximately up to 50 participants will attend the ATF 2008. In addition, approximately 100 local participants will attend the APMP symposium and PPI-KIM (Regular Meeting and Science Presentation on Calibration, Instrumentation and Metrology). Puslit KIM- 6
Agenda of Meeting 1. ATF 2008: special conference in the field of time and frequency measurement. 2. APMP Symposium: presenting papers and speech about metrology in general aspects. Attended by all committee members including general assembly, and public in general who are interested in the subject. 3. Laboratory visit: visiting KIM- s Time and Frequency laboratory in Serpong, Tangerang by interested participants. 4. City tours for interested participants. Puslit KIM-
Costs The organiser shall bear the cost of conducting the conference, including rent of venue, transportation, lunch and banquets, office equipment and stationary, sightseeing tours, travel costs for guests of honour. These costs will be covered by the KIM-'s budget, participants' registration fee and sponsorship. Participants shall bear their own travel cost to Jakarta airport (for overseas delegates) and also their hotel accommodation. Puslit KIM-
