Artur Stanisz Bio "Amateurs worry about sharpness. Professionals worry about sales. Photographers worry about light." Torres del Paine, Chile, April 2014 1
I am a photographer based in Vancouver, Canada specializing in landscape photography. As long as I can recall, photography was an important part of my life. And so was traveling to remote areas in search for adventure and new topics for my photos. In order to combine my passions I self- trained myself into being a landscape photographer. I spend majority of my @me hiking and exploring trails trying to capture on my photos areas less frequently photographed, yet stunning in their pris@ne beauty. Through my photography I express my personal feelings and visions of landscapes that I explore. I try to showcase natural elements via combina@on of unique composi@ons and light. When I don't go to my photo shoo@ng tours I con@nuously challenge myself to strive for perfec@on in this what I do. I believe it will be my lifelong journey. Besides photography and traveling I am interested in issues associated with environmental protec@on, sustainability, renewable energy sources and organic/local food movement. I cherish the power of nature and I am a strong supporter of pro- ecological movements. 2
Photo Adventures: Mission Statement My photography and travel adventures are interconnected. I believe that the understanding of the Nature and all its elements has a crucial influence on this how landscape photography develops. Hiking and exploring gives unparalleled opportuni?es to find the best composi?ons and to catch the most unique light. Photographing landscapes from within and being their integral part brings life changing experiences and chances to capture extraordinary moments. This is my approach to photography and adventure photo tours that I organize. If you decide to undertake this adventure with me you will: Hike on and off trails to find the best view points Camp in the middle of the ac?on with spectacular views Enjoy the beauty of the surrounding landscape to bring home many unique memories and photographs Pursue a holis?c approach and reconnect with the Nature Meet interes?ng people and make good friends 3
Past Photo Adventure -Patagonia 2015 Light Wizards Patagonia Photo Adventure 2015 wouldn't be complete without one of my signature reflec?on shots featuring cuernos of Torres del Paine. No maper how many?mes you go to that loca?on, you can be pleasantly surprised. This par?cular photo was taken during the photo workshops that I was leading there in April 2015. We visited and hiked to many popular as well as quite a few less known spots. All par?cipants had a chance to see Patagonia and capture some incredible light moments. 4
Past Photo Adventure -Patagonia 2014 Emerging Spectrum "Emerging Spectrum" shows Argen?na's most iconic mountain, the Fitz Roy located in the Parque Nacional de los Glaciares. The photo was taken during the sunrise in the late fall condi?ons. I was returning to this loca?on mul?ple?mes during my stay in the park to capture the en?re spectrum of colors. In order to seize this scene the way I saw it, I combined on my photo morning sky and cascading river with richness of beau?ful fall colors of the surrounding flora. I hoped that all these elements would be able to showcase the real picture of Patagonia's natural beauty at this?me of the year. I can't find words to describe what feelings one has while watching this Patagonia's morning beauty. It was simply breathtaking. 5

This photo tour is designed for people that want to gain experienced with the outdoors and ready to hike on and off the trail with camping and camera gear. All hikes that were customized for the purpose of this adventure are classified as moderate therefore, by default a certain level of fitness is assumed and necessary. It won t be a standard, commercial type of photo tour. Instead, I wish to turn it into an informal mee@ng of a group of friends that love photos and outdoors and gathered together to produce a lot of great photos and memories. Patagonia is known from its changing weather condi@ons so at any given day of the tour we might hike in rain, snow, wind etc. This may not be a bad thing for the main goal, which is a photo adven- ture tour. My previous experience shows that these quickly changing weather condi@ons tend to bring the best light. In addi@on, we are going to spend mul@ple nights on campsites. Some of them are so remote that they don t posses sanitary facili@es. We are also going to carry all food and cooking equipment in our backpacks. Please be no@fied that each par@cipant will need to carry his/her own food and equipment and cook own meals. We will be seong up base camp in each of the chosen areas and hiking to selected view points to take photos. Each day of the tour we will be aiming to hike to mul@ple shoo@ng spots. We will try to capture Patagonia s landscape during sunrises and sunsets when the light tends to be the most interes@ng. All your effort and discomfort associated with camping in the mountains will be rewarded by views and photos that other commercial photo tours in Patagonia don t have access to. The experiences, memories, friends and photos that you will gain during this trip will last a life@me and will remind you about this extraordinary @me long aqer you leave Patagonia. See you in Patagonia! 7
