CITIZENS CONCERNS AND REQUESTS: Ernie Kantorczyk Naomi Avenue, Glassport Boro Mr. Kantorczyk asked if the Borough had an engineer? I never hear any reports. Eugene Skerkoski, Vice President of Council replied that they only attend if we need them. We had stopped bringing them to the meeting because it was costing us too much money. Mr. Kantorczyk asked about Act 537 which separates the storm and sanitary sewers. Mr. Skerkoski commented that we are not in that yet. Mr. Trunzo said you just can t have your water running into the sewage and have it running off your house into the sewers. John DeSue, Borough Manager said most of the municipalities around us don t have their own sewage plant so they won t have to worry about this. Solicitor Gary Matta said as long as your plant has not been cited you don t have to worry about anything right now. Mr. Kantorczyk said I won t be around to see it happen. Thomas Bradley, Councilman, said the increase in the sewage was to be put in a separate account to keep the plant going. We bought some flight boards and pumps and we are having a lot of things going on at the plant. We project $46,000 a year with the increase in the sewage and the price of equipment keeps going up. The cost of some of the things that we are purchasing cost between $10,000 and $12,000. MOTION: Crncic seconded by Trunzo To accept the minutes for the Month of December, 2012.
